So many options. Why are you dialing "9" for an outside line? You can just press a button assigned to the line you want.
Since a 7730 works on up to 18 different Pana systems, there's no telling what you have, but you can assign a specific line to a button, a group to a button, program the system to not pick vacant lines, or dial the direct line 8x or 8xx access code. There's an outside chance that ARS (automatic route selection) is enabled and the "9" doesn't even give you an outside line in the first place.

Which is yours?

Determining which CO you get when pressing 9

Set outgoing line preference.
Or simply swap the CO1 and CO2 line plugs.
The plug from your service provider that enters in CO1 put it in CO2 port and vice versa. You may need alittle config as well.

Panasonic KX-T7730, we have a 824 phone system and cordless handsets (kx-tg1711) we cannot make outgoing calls on these handests but can take incoming calls and can transfer calls. how do we programme

  • Locate the program and auto-store button on your telephone. You will be using these to customize many of the features on your KX-T7730. The program button is used to enter or exit programming.

  • 2

Program your outgoing line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to seize when you go off hook. Press "Program" "1" "1" "store" for no line. Press "Program" "1" "2" "Store" for an idle outside line. Press "Program" "1" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line. The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 3

Program your incoming line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to answer when you go off hook. Press "Program" "2" "1 "Store" for no line. Press "Program "2" "2" "Store" for ringing line. Press "Program" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line.

  • 4

Program your flexible CO buttons. These are the inner row of 12 lighted buttons. Your outside lines need to be programmed to these--you can choose any of these 12 buttons in any order. Press "Program" "CO Button" "0" "Outside Line Number" "Store." The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 5

Program any other unused flexible CO buttons for an extension number or any frequently dialed phone number. Press "Program" "CO button" "1" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "CO Button" "2" "9 + Phone Number" "Store". A "9" must be entered at the beginning of a phone number to tell your phone system to seize an outside line before dialing, e.g., "9-1-212-555-1234."

  • 6

Locate the programmable feature buttons (the row of 12 solid buttons on the right). These buttons are basically one-touch buttons that can be set for extension numbers or phone numbers. Press "Program" "(PF) Button" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "(PF) Button" "9 + Phone Number" "Store." Remember to press "Program" again to exit programming.

  • 7

Locate your "FWD/DND" button. This button is used for setting "Call Forward" or "Do Not Disturb" on your telephone. To set call forwarding, go "off-hook" either by lifting the receiver or pressing speakerphone. Make sure you go to intercom and not an outside line. To forward all calls, go off-hook, press "FWD/DND" "1" "extension number" (the extension number that you wish to forward all your calls to) "#". After you hear a confirmation tone, place the receiver on-hook. The steps to set call forwarding for busy/no answer are the same as above, except you will press "2" in place of "1". To cancel call forwarding, press "0" in place of "1".

  • 8

Program "Do Not Disturb," which stops your phone from ringing--any callers will just hear a DND tone. To program, go off-hook, press "Program" "4" "#" on-hook, to set. Press "0" instead of "4" to cancel.

  • 9

Locate the message button--this works in coordination with your message light at the top right of your telephone. If the light is lit, press "message" to hear a message left to you either by another extension or a voice mail system. The message button can only be programmed as a message or one-touch button. To program as a message, press "Program" "Message" "3" "Store." To program as a one-touch, press "Program" "Message" "1" "Extension Number" or "Program" "Message: "2" "9 + phone number."

  • 10

Return your KX-T7730 to its default settings by pressing "Program" "#" "*" "Store."

How to set a new CO num into kx-t7730? screen is appear "CO not assigned"but the line already plug in .

In analog system like the KX-TA series, the lines have to be both installed and programmed to a set. System program 400 sets the lines and pressing PROGRAM, a CO button on the left side of the phone and dialing 0x STORE sets the line on the telephone.

There are also some access and ringing programs that need to be done in system programming and they are located in sections 407-412 or so.

For example, if you added line 3, you would go to 400, make sure that CO 3 is enabled, then press PROGRAM on each phone and the 3rd button up from the bottom. If the display doesn't say "CO3", then you dial 03 STORE and that will set line 3 on the phone.

How to set name and contact number on the telephone set for one touch dialing with right buttons? My set is Panasonic KX-T7730

It depends on what happens when you dial "9" from the intercom. If it gives you a line, then that's your "access code". If it gives you a line that doesn't exist, then you need to fix your programming.

From the idle phone, press PROGRAM, one of the right side buttons, and dial 9 and your number and STORE. You can program one or all 12 buttons at once. When you're done, pick up the handset and drop it back down to exit programming.

    That's it.

    Hi,

You can find detailed information about your phone from the given link below.
    Panasonic KX-T7730

Check the steps below for "Does not Ring" solution.

Depending on your model system, it may or may not be possible. I included the two different methods to change the ring tone below depending on your system. Give it a try.

    KX-TDA Systems
    KX-TD Systems
    Press PROGRAM
Program Press the CO Line key you wish to change
Press the same key again, enter the tone number (01 through 30)
img%20right%20hand.gif You will hear the tone associated with the tone type number. For example, if you press 02, you will hear the tone associated with tone type 22. Press each number (01-30) until you hear the tone you desire.
    Press STORE
img%20right%20hand.gif The tone is now stored for that line on that phone only.
Press PROGRAM 99 (or PAUSE 99 if you do not have a PROGRAM button
Press the CO Line key you wish to change
Press the same key again, enter the tone number (1 through 8)
img%20right%20hand.gif You will hear the tone associated with the tone type number. For example, if you press 2, you will hear the tone associated with tone type 2. Press each number (1-8) until you hear the tone you desire.

HOW TO PROGRAM ONE TOUCH DIALLING FOR KX-T7730 WITH CO BUTTONS ONLY ON THE RIGHT?

So that we're on the same page, a 7730 has PF bottons on the right and "CO" buttons on the left. If you have a different phone, like a TA-308xx or a Euro phone that isn't offered in the U.S., then it may only have a single row of buttons.

Programming is the same. If the button is a CO button (with a light), then your one touch requres a "2" in front of it to speed dial a nunber and a "9" or outside line access code to dial an outside number. So, to call 212-555-1212 you press PROGRAM the CO button, 292125551212 STORE. An inside number is stored under the CO button with a "1" plus the extension number.

A PF button already has the assumed "2", so you would just dial 92125551212 in the example above.

I NEED TO STORE NUMBER ON MY PANASONIC KX T7730

The mechanics of storing a speed dial number on Panasonic phones is the same, even if the phone can be connected to one of 18 different model Key Service Units. It involves pressing PROGRAM a button, an access code, the number, and STORE. In the U.S. our access code to get an outside line is "9". You may be using something different, like '0'.

The differences are if you can dial "9" on the intercom and get a dial tone, which collumn of buttons you press, and/or whether you want this to be PERSONAL numbers or SYSTEM numbers.

In a TA-824, lines are accessed high to low. If you have 2 lines on a basic system and dial "9" to get an outside line, you will land on line 3 if you have not told the system that line 3 is disabled (system program 400). So, the fast answer is press PROGRAM, a button on the right side, dial 9+your desired number and STORE. If it's a left side button, dial 29 instead of 9.

System speed dials requrie access to system program 001.

If this does not work on your system, please comment back with your actual system model number.
