I have a 2003 lincoln Aviator I recently just change my oil and put in Synthetic oli well on on the gauge a message came up saying "oil change is required' can someone solve this problem for me

i always use 91octane and frequent oil changes..but still the tic tic tic.. finaly my mechanic used lucas motor oil treatment and today is the first day of engine silence.. we shall see for how long.. but seems like a cheap fix... try it.

could be the water pump but try changing the thermostat first and see if this stops it from overheating.

when you see the oil change required,press reset by th gear lever(that three bottons that says system info,reset etc. just press the reset one.

1.press the setup control to enter system check then press setup control to display "oil life =***% hold reset = new.

2.press and hold the reset control for 2 seconds and release. "oil life is set to 100%" is displayed,

3.If lower oil life is desired, press and release the reset control to reduce the value.

1. Press the SETUP control to enter
SYSTEM CHECK, then press SETUP
control again to display "OIL LIFE =
***% HOLD RESET = NEW".
Driver Controls
2. Press and hold the RESET
control for two seconds and release.
Oil life is set to 100% and "OIL LIFE
SET TO 100%" is displayed.
3. While "OIL LIFE SET TO 100%"
is displayed, if a lower oil life is
desired, press and release the RESET control to reduce the value. Hope this helps...
