SOURCE: GE Cooktop burner doesn't click or light.

Remove all the burner heads and lift the top. Sometimes easier said than done. How do you know it is the module? It could be a cracked insulator on the ignitor. To verify you can swap two of the connections on the module and if it lights then it is the module.

SOURCE: Have a four burner gas GE Profile cooktop. How do

The igniter module is working fine. One of the switches (which are on each valve shaft) is stuck or shorted out. Pull a wire off each one at a time to determine which one is bad. Careful! 120 volts to each wire. Also, this can happen after you spill water into the valve area, if that sounds right, let it dry out.

My ignition for the gas cooktop is clicking without being in the on positoin. will this be caused by cleaning with water? is it going to cause problems?

One of your burner ignition switches is fried. To see which one it is you remove a wire from each one till the ticking stops. Or plan be just unplug the stove and light it with a match.

Ignition will not stop clicking...

Did you clean your stove recently? If the switches under the burner knobs get wet they will cause the burners to click. Unplug the unit or shut off the power for a day. Once the swithes dry, it should work normal.

Igniter clicking when all four knobs in off position after water spill

It is possible that once the unit dries out the clicking will stop. If it doesn't, you will need to call someone to have the problem addressed. You will need a spark module and or an ignition switch(s).
