Ive had the camcorder only2 years now and recently ive had white lines scrolling up the screen whilst recording. they are also there when the footage is played back. then last week the screen both through viewfinder and flip screen, is black with more white lines and says the lens cap is on when it isnt. so now i cant record anything.but it will let me play back previous footage taped on the screen with no problem.any ideas what it could be and who i can trust to repair it please without lots of expense?thanks. nessa.
JVC has issued a notice on many models that bring up a "lens cap" error. However, the GR-DX25EK is not included. The model you have posted on its page(GR-DX95) is though. This problem is still very common with models that aren't on the said list, given that and the fact that your model is from the same series, you might get some consideration from JVC. my jvc camcorder does not show on screen when lens cap is removed, what could be the problem with it,, i have recently bought a new on but would also like to know if this problem is fixable without have to pay more than what i would cost to buy a new one..cant record or take pics even if i look through led screen or the view finder
