Mitsubishi WD-62525 Red Status Light After Cap Replacement

I just finished replacing 6 CAPs on my power board after having the flashing green power led symptom.

After putting the set back together I get the steady red status led and the error code indicates 41 (short detected).

Any suggestions.

PS. I replaced two caps on the power board 6 months ago and the TV worked fine after words.

I have Mitsubishi 62525 and blinking green light on front panel. I read a lot of 4 capacitors to be replaced. Are there any instructions available how to get to the board. I opened TV's the back panel but have no idea how to get to capacitors.

I have a WD62525. I was watching it one day and it just shut off and the status light went red. I spoke to a tech who said it was likely a set of caps on the power board. He came to my house and got code 41 out of it and found a 15A fuse blown on the power board but not the cause of a short.

Mitsubishi V26 error code 41 with solid red status indicator is caused by leakage from capacitors C9A37 and C9A38 (3300mf/16v). The result is a bad fuse F9A02 (15amp pico) which reports error code 41 indicating short protect. The Mits part number is 283P144040 but any PICO 15a fuse will work.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-62525 Red Status Light After Cap Replacement

which caps did you replace? As the normal repair for the first generation dlp is to replace the (4) 1000 uf caps. the (2) 2200 uf caps and the (2) 3300uf caps on the power pwb when you get the 34 error code.

Blinking green light in front of tv and no picture. On a Mitsubishi 62525 projection tv

This problem is bad capacitors on several circuit boards inside. They are solder in parts and replacement requires extensive disassembly. Repair estimate = 200-500$
If you can solder and have disassembly skills, I can talk you through the repair with about $30 in parts and a few hours of time. Let me know if I can be of more assistance.

8-12 1000uf 16v caps = replace with 680uf @16v
possible 2 bad caps on power supply too.. 2200uf or 3300uf I cannot remember. All are labeled and will be obvious. Check my bulletin on bulged caps. http://www.fixya.com/support/r5000889-repairing_tv_just_clicks_over_over

Constant flashing green light

I had the same problem. When I checked the lamp (that was only 6 months old) it looked good. I had a tech come out and he put in a new lamp and solved the problem.
Good Luck!

Mitsubishi WD-62525 I have the flashing green light problem. Unplugged the power srtip this morning, When I got home tonight plugged it back in and the green light flashes 12 times, pauses then flashes 12...

there are many capacitors that leak on this set and chances are that some of them were missed. Sorry you spent so much money on that repair but Mitsubishi service could have fixed it right for $300.00 because they know where all of the caps are and they burn it it for several days before it leave the service center.
