Have you tried a different size ear tip, you should have gotten a small
ab a large size, here is the link below for the Backbeat 903 ear tips (model 80846-01).
Performing a system reset might take care of the problem. Reset instructions: Plug in the AC charger and hold the
power/pair button. The headphones will show a solid red or blue light
when they have been successfully reset.

The red flashing indicates a low (or check) battery. The instructions on
page 4 in the link below for the Plantronics Backbeat 903/906 will
show you how to charge it up. On page 8 you'll see how to power down and
then up the headset to reset it.
The battery in the BackBeat 903 is not replaceable. If your headset is
not charging and less than a year old, return it to your retailer for
warranty replacement or call Plantronics at 800-544-4660 x5 x5538 for warranty service.
Connect the device to the wall charger. Hold the on/off button for about 5+ seconds, then unplug the wall charger (while still holding the power button) and immediately plug it back in. The blue light should turn back on if it short-circuited due to moisture/overheating/miscommunication problems, etc. Plantronics 903 Users Guide

When turning on your headset you should see the blue light flashing for a
small brief time. If that is not happening, check to make sure that
the headset is paired up with your cell phone.
Here's what Plantronics tech support had me do to fix this problem:
Step 1: Push and hold the on/off button and without letting go insert the charger and you will see a steady light on the headset
Step 2: Let go of the button as soon as you see a steady light on the headset
Step 3: Unplug the charger from the headset, Reset should be done by now and you will be able to turn them on again.
After Step 3 I plugged it in again (I probably could have simple skipped step 3 altogether), because my headphones were completely dead and needed to charge for 3 hours before they were ready to use again.
