I received the 14 inch bandsaw from a dealer mostly assembled. The tension release bar was already in place. When I tried to use the bar it broke. I ordered another replacement bar and now want to put it on but am afraid it will break again. What is correct way to attach the tension release bar??? Thank !!

How do i know if i have the proper tension on the blade of my 14 inch bandsaw

There are all kinds of methods out there, such as plucking the blade like a guitar string until it produces a clear tone
of a specific musical pitch. The most accurate way is to check it with a tension meter.

How to install belt on rikon 10-325 bandsaw

For the high speed, (2950 ft/min), the belt should be installed on the rear pulley of both the motor and the wheel. For the low speed( 1445 ft/min), the belt should be installed on the front pulley of both the motor and wheel. To properly adjust the belt tension, turn hand wheel until there is 1/2" deflection in the "multi-vee" belt. Check this link to see the manual. http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/library/manuals/10325_manual.pdf
By the way, where do you get your band saw blades? I got mine from sawblade.com and I happy with them.

THE CHAIN SLIPPED OFF HOW DO YOU GET IT BACK ON 14 IN HUSQVARNA

There's two 1/2 inch nuts on the side of the cover from which the bar protrudes.
Remove these nuts and the cover -- leave the bar loosely in place.
Look for a slot-head chain-tensioning screw (may be on front under the bar, or perhaps on the side).
Turn this tensioning screw counter clockwise -- you will notice a pin moving back towards the drive clutch -- this pin fits into a hole on the bar and is used to set the chain tension by pushing the bar away from the drive clutch.
Once it is loosened, the bar can be pulled closer to the drive clutch, allowing you to fit the chain back onto the bar -- be careful to align the drive teeth on the chain into the slots on the drive clutch.
When the chain is back in place, turn the tensioning screw clockwise to tighten the chain onto the bar.
Replace the cover and put the nuts back on only finger-tight.
Tighten the chain some more using the tensioning screw.
Tighten the 1/2 inch nuts fully.
Note: The chain needs to be quite tight -- lift it by a link and be sure it does not come out all the way from the bar.

How to replace serpentine belt on a car

1. Make a drawing of the routing of the existing belt before you take it off, or there may be one on the fan shroud or nearby. 2. Locate the spring loaded tensioner. It will be a pully that is not connected to any other component. 3. You will need a long braker bar (most likely half inch drive). On the spring loaded tensioner you will find a place (a cut out square) to insert the braker bar. (Note, no socket is needed, just the braker bar itself) This is a secure way to leverage the tensioner 4. Using the braker bar, move the tensioner to release tension on belt. 5. Slide old belt off pulleys, and move around fan. 6. Install new belt with same method, making sure the routing is correct.

How do you change the serpentine belt? Manual says to use a 1/2" breaker bar on tensioner but I cant see where to put the bar. I dont see a 1/2" hole.

have never worked on this model but i should imagine you push on the bar to release the tension ,like using a crowbar but you are using the 1/2 inch bar as a lever ,i do it all the time as i have a nice snap on one about 80cms long

How do i release the tension on serpentine belt for replacement on 2000 chev tracker 2.0 eng suzuki engine

There should be a square1/2 inch hole most likely on the bar that leads to the tension pully, where you can put a 1/2 inch breakover bar or ratchet to depress the tension bar/spring, alowing the removal and replacement of the belt.
