The trackpad on my Blackberry Bold keeps freezing - I can still click, but it won't scroll. It used to be an intermittent problem, but for 4 days now it hasn't come back. The phone has been taken apart and there is nothing wrong with the connection, the phone has been wiped and the os replaced, the battery has been taken out and left out for a CONSIDERABLE time, the phone has been "jarred" against the table, the trackpad has been scrolled 5 times first without the battery in and then with it, the trackpad has been cleaned, and finally replaced. These are all suggestions I have been given to date, and none have worked. I am WAAAAAAY out of the warranty and need my phone for not just running my business, but keeping in touch with the wife and making sure my two very small children are ok while I'm away on business trips. I cannot afford a new phone and this is driving me crazy. Please help!!

SOURCE: trackpad keeps freezing

Do you have an added Apps? One could be causing the problem.
The other reason could be the pad is getting wet or moisture on it. Also it is not required to press ******* the pad, maybe too much pressure. Also check sensitivity settings
Out of curiosity, have you tried a battery pull yet? While the phone is on, simply remove the battery, for good measure, wait a full minute, then reinsert the battery and wait for the device to reboot.

Does that help? If not, let us know what operating system you're running on your phone. You can get this info under Options > Device > About Device Versions, or by typing "myver" in a text box (e.g. email or BBM).

My blackberry bold 9900 won't scroll down in any list in the phone even the touch screen is not going down , the scroll and the touch are working in any direction but downwards

if you press and hold your menu button and get to your desired application (or use the convenience buttons) there are some applications where you can scroll using the spacebar (only between sections) if its a conversation press "t" (for top) or "b" (for bottom) otherwise if you want to scroll to a conversation you'll have to compose a new sms to desired contact and the extisting conversation will show up (for sms) and as for bbm just search the contact and click it. I had that problem with my curve and didnt even try to get it fixed in the beggining it would do that occasionnally but eventually it just failed completely so i bought the bold. You can try getting it fixed but nothing guarantees it wont happen again. hope this helped

go to the blackberry website and get a phone number. Phone them up and ask if they know how to fix it and if they replace trackpads for your model. If that doesn't work search around on the internet, many sites will offer mobile parts quite cheap

The trackpad does not work anymore. How can I fix it?

You would need to take the phone apart and replace the trackpad. You can find a trackpad on ebay for about $12-15. If you are interested you can contact us and send it in for us to fix it. If you buy the trackpad yourself we would just charge you for labor, otherwise we would charge you for the trackpad + labor.

Hi my trackpad keeps going up to profiles on my 9700 , its annoying is ther anyway to fix this? tx

You could try reflashing your BlackBerry Bold 9700 with the latest firmware to see if that helps. All kinds of erratic behavior can be solved by doing this. The latest BlackBerry Bold 9700 system software is available through here.
