I have a number of i1220 scanners that need to be integrated with another application. This application looks for an installed twain driver but fails to find one in the case of the i1220. I have downloaded and installed standard driver which operates the scanner correctly from the devices area. OS is Win 7. system normally operates correctly for Canon DR series and a few other older scanners.
Is there a twain driver for the i1220?
Thanks,
Brett

For more information, please refer to the help contents of Scanner utility/Twain driver and scanning application installed on your PC.Hope the above information is helpful.
The TWAIN drive should be installed when one installs the actual "Drivers" for the unit itself, accordingly I provide you with the download link below.... look for and install ALL drivers and software, especially the Scan manager and TWAIN drivers....
depending on the type of software you are using, this could be where the problem lies. test the scanner using the scan validation tool.
Start>All programmes>Kodak>Document Imaging>Scan Validation Tool - use the TWAIN driver.
If the scanner scans fine here, then this is software related and you will need to contact the software manufacturer to resolve the issue.
You need to download a "Twain Driver and Epson Scan Utility" from the Epson Website.
But before you start downloading the Twain Driver we need to delete the previously installed driver in your computer.
1.) Click and open the MAC or Apple Hard drive / Application and trash Epson Scan and Epson Scanner Monitor ( drag it to your trash ) 2.) MAC hard drive / Library / Image Capture / Twain Data Source., we need to trash ( *.ds file ) 3.) MAC hard drive / Library / Application Support., trash the Epson Scanner Module 4.) Disconnect the connection ( USB ) between the printer and your MAC. 5. ) Empty your Trash bin and restart your MAC
After the restart we can now download and install the Twain driver to your MAC.
It looks like the computers have a hard time communicating with the scanner it will be advisable to download all the current firmware available, her is the link: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=235&modelid=13810#DownloadDetailAct This should take care of the problems.
