My printer is on but when I send a docto the computer says "printer offline".

I just want to print - computer says it is "off-line'. Print says "scan, copy, etc." but not 'print'. What do I do?

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken .Use the test print to calbrate the SCANNER.

Check all the leads and connections of the mother board , the tags to the ink cartridge. Also check the mechanical settings of the ink cartridge , if jammed or tight remove motor and manually free the drive before it is set back.

How to I correct "printer

Printer Offline cause if your printer isnot available like if your printer is installed in your computer oflaptop and the printer is not plug in or printer is off. that cause printer offline. right click and look for online and click thats it your printer is online now. if the printer is connected on the network and it is offline it means your printer or your pc is not connected on the network.

First things frist. If the printer is conected with a USB Cable to your computer, try removing and reinserting the usb cable. To make sure that it is properly connected.
You might just have unintentionally got the printer in offline mode. Now follow this steps:
To check if it is offline. 1. Go to devices and printers (7), Printers and Faxes(XP), Printers (Vista) 2. Double click on the printer icon 3. Click the option that says Printer on the upper left corner of the window that pops up.
Th only options that you need checked is the one that says Set as Default Printer. For any other options that has a check mark. Click on them to remove the check mark.
4. Click Start again, on the search box type in services.msc, hit Enter. For XP, CLick Run, and type the same thing and then hit ok. 5. A window should pop up with the list of services for your computer. Look for Print Spooler in that list. 6. Right Click on the Print Spooler and Click Stop. 7. Right Click on the Print Spooler and Click Start.
Restart your computer. Try printing again.

Printer says "printer is currently

The printer is connected to the rest of your computer with connecting hardware. The first thing I would check is the cable. If you're using a USB connection, try a different (and known to be good) USB cable. If that doesn't do it, you may have a damaged USB connection socket at the printer, which is not cost effective to repair.
