Hi i have a hp deskjet f4140 and i lost the installation disk and i don't know what to do to install it to my computer

You will have to select your operating system. On the next page, you should see a + sign beside Driver - Product Installation Software. Click it and select the software to install your printer.

1.Uninstall the installed driver first.
2.Disconnect Data cable from CPU.
3.Then connect the printer with CPU.
4.Turn on the printer.
5.If the PC detect the printer, install it.otherwise check the data cable or ports are ok or not.

Hi Josh,
Try disconnecting the usb connections to the PC.
Uninstall the printers software and reboot your computer.
Turn off the printer and then on again.
Insert the installations disk into your computer.Follow the installation instructions and connect the printer only when prompted by the installation setup to do so.

Then on the next page if you need all the software download the "HP Deskjet Full Feature Software and Drivers"

In the installation window, where you are asked to connect the printer, just check mark on connect the printer later or printer is already connected and continue with the installation.

HP deskjet F4140 Error light on & I can"t print
please reset your printer. turn off your printer, leave it for 30 sec and turn it on again....
If you still have problem try to re install the catridges again, follow below instruction
