Office XP Pro

I copied a document into word. Now every time I try to type a new document, the old document is there. I cannot delete it. I uninstalled Office and reinstalled and that did not work.

The "Normal" template opens whenever you start Word, and it includes the default settings for your new documents... as well as any customizations you may have opted for along the way. Sounds like your version of the normal template now includes the text of this document.

On the File menu, click Open, and then navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates and look for "Normal.dot". You may need to change the Files of Type drop box to "Document Templates" to see it.

Open the file, select all the text you see there and delete it. Save the file and close it. You should get clean pages now when you open a new document.

Alternatively, you can use Windows Explorer to navigate to that same directory and delete the entire Normal.dot file. MS Office will simply create a fresh one when you launch Word again.

Hope that helps!
Good luck.

HP LaserJet 3330 will not print multiple copies

Does this happen only with some documents/software? I have a different HP printer (a LaserJet) that does the same thing only with PDFs printed from another program. (This happens with PaperPort and browsers using the Adobe Reader plug-in, for example.) If I open Adobe Reader and then open the document in question, I can print multiple copies correctly.

I hope this helps.

Outlook keeps restarting

when this happen do not reinstall the office on the existing copy of
outlook on your system. Kindly follow these steps:1 Uninstall the office completly .2.Locate the office folder and delete it from where ever located. you can search the folder (start>search>files and folder>type office
in the search box).3.If it does not let you delete the folder kindly restart the system
and try to delete the folder.4.Once uninstall and deleted the folder then restart the system, and
re-install the office with SP2.This will resolve the issue.

Microsoft office 2007

if u have the installation disc and ms office is not working then first remove the prog.
xp comp:- start/control pannel/add and remove prog double click/ select office 2007/remove/
restart the computer and then install again it will work//
vista computer/win 7 computer:- from control pannel double click on prog and feature and follow the step as above. select the prog and right click / uninstall. restart the comp after it is done and reinstall again//

before doing the above you can just try to make a new user account and log from the new user account after restarting the computer check if this works. if it works then the chance of previous account corruption is possible. remove the old account and save the created document on the desktop of the new account/ this is the promp you get when you delete the old account/ save files/delete files.
warning:-be very sure what you are doing and do it carefully or else it will be a big time problem for you as you will loose all your saved documents and picture/
if the computer is shipped with office 2007 and its creating the problem then do the backup of all ur documents on flash drive or ext hard drive and do the system recovery to bring the computer to original shipped condition. before doing that remember to also check by creating the new user account and logging from that account.

Microsoft word

The documents are probably not corrupted, just unassociated file types as you don't have a program that recognizes *.doc file type now that Word is no-longer there. Microsoft Office has a Repair option if you run the Install Disc, or, if you uninstalled the application in the regular manner then you can just install it again without affecting your other office programs by selecting only Word on install.

If I am loading a licensed copy of 2007 office/home/school and have an unlicensed copy of 2003 will this need to be uninstalled and will I lose my files

You need to uninstall the unlicensed copy of you Office 2003. It will not affect your files but your files are not readable until you did not install a Office. After you uninstalled the unlicensed install a new copy of your license Office 2003. If you have problem about your license key you can contact or call microsoft for more details.

No Has Been Able To Solve This Office 2007 Pro Problem, Can You?

Hi,
The problem is the feature you tried istalling might have corrupted the OS. What you can try doing is create new user account first , restart your computer into the new user computer and then try installing. If the same still doesnot work , then my friend the only solution would be to reinstall windows xp and then put office 2007.

Thanks

2nd Hand computer with MSI uninstall problem.

Since .msi files are deleted, so there is no straight forward way of uninstalling it.

Try to uninstall by running setup on Office installig disk. If this dosent work, pl uninstall program and clear registery using third party free SW like System Mechanic 5.0 or cCleaner

Reboot the system and Install MS Office (make sure that minimum requirements are mate).

Thanks
