Check the battery because weak battery gives this kind of problem, if it is ok, then it might have internal loosing, need to be technically handled by service center.

On my Sony DSC-H1,I just depress the shutter button HALFWAY,with the subject in the center.then recompose the shot as you'd like it(i.e.off center), and the subject will stay in focus.
You should always use the "safely remove hardware" icon at the bottom of your screen. Now, remove the card and the battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.
Something in the lens unit is broken. The unit can't be fixed but needs to be replaced with a new or unit unit. A new lens unit would cost about half the price of the camera though...
