SOURCE: I have a kenmore stove whose burners wont light.
If the gets give no gas then sounds like a Thermocouple, this is a device that allows the gas to come on after a period of time ensuring that the pilot is lit and heated up this thermocouple, once it heats it then allows gas to enter and ignite the main burner..hope this helps ,please leave feedback.

Hello,
If
one of your burner heating elements works only intermittently, it's
probably because of worn or bad contacts in the receptacle that the
element plugs into. you can remove the element
by lifting it up several inches and firmly pulling it away from its
attachment (receptacle). Read your owner's manual to learn the correct
technique for your range.
If,
after removing the element, you see that the ends of the element that
were plugged in are pitted, corroded, burned, scarred, or rusted,
replace both the element and the receptacle.
Take care.

Usually the indicators are powered by sensors which are often triggered on by the heat sensor on the burner. When the burner got burnt the indicator was most likely triggered on when the burners shorted out. And therefore got damaged in the process. When the unit was repaired most times repairers do not take note of the little details such as this as they have checked the full system and know that all is well.
The indicator does not mean any of the burners are on but is on as a result of the sensor being spoilt and last signal sent by sensor is on. As an off signal has not been sent the light cannot go off unless the sensor is replaced.
hope this explanation has been helpful?

This is dangerous.
You should be able to stop it by unplugging the stove. The automatic spark requires electricity to work.
Unplug it and leave a comment with the make and model and I will assist you in finding a replacement.
