My microwave has suddendly developed a fault. The door does not seem to close properly ( it does not appear damaged) and the microwave will not activate although all the digital displays work. It seems to me that it may be a safety sensor since hte door won't properly close Any ideas on what I should do ?

SOURCE: NEFF H5470NOGB Microwave door latch fault

theres a small plastic hook inside the door which holds a tension spring this will have snapped off stopping the latch from entering the lock its actually quite easy to fix the inner plastic frame can be unclipped with a small flat blade screwdriver exposing the hook mechanism and the spring will be lying in the bottom of the door frame you can reconnect it to the metal inner frame it stretches the spring a little more but it will never snap again ive done this loads of times with no probs otherwise you will have to replace the outer door to reinstate the broken hook.

SOURCE: Microwave wont run, displays E 10 on the screen

e 10 is the internal safety fuse has blown this often happens if door is altered for any reason moving the door can effect the setting of the monitor switches these are set to a high tolerance to avoid operation of microwave with door open changing the door has shifted these settings and blown the fuse, replacing the fuse may be enough to get it going but it should be checked for leakage.

The microwave of our combination oven and microwave won't work. What is wrong with it?

The issue you're experiencing with your KitchenAid microwave/oven combo sounds like it may be related to the door not being properly closed or latched.
  1. Check the door: Make sure the door is closed tightly and securely. If the door is not properly closed, the microwave will not work.
  2. Latch: Ensure that the door latch is in good working condition and securely latched when you close the door.
  3. Door switch: If the door is closed and latched properly, the problem may be with the door switch. A malfunctioning door switch can prevent the microwave from starting.
  4. Control board: The issue may also be caused by a malfunctioning control board. The control board is the brain of the microwave, and if it's not working correctly, it can prevent the microwave from functioning properly.
  5. Wiring: Check the wiring of the microwave, if the connections are loose or damaged it could cause the microwave to not work.
If none of the above steps resolves the problem, it's best to contact the manufacturer or a professional for further assistance, as these are complex appliances and require specialized knowledge to repair.
It's important to note that attempting to repair an oven or microwave without proper training and tools can be dangerous and could cause further damage or injury.

Hope this helps!

How can we fix the door of our Sharp Carousel Convection Microwave Oven Model R-9X56?

This appears to be an Australian model and these are the only spares I can find. They do sell the latches. If the hinges are damaged and causing this, you will feel movement. Looks like it is time for a new one.

Model:OGD21102 MICROWAVE IS NOT ALLOWWING ME TO COOK MY FOOD. The microwave says Food and that is it. Will not heat, I can push a time and it says Food. What should I do.

if opening and closing the door fails to clear the fault , then your door switch's have a fault in them , this is not too uncommon on microwaves , as most of them have three separate door switches ,(its a safety thing ) as the last thing in the world you'd want to happen is running it with the door open . make sure the door seals properly and there's nothing down in the cracks (even the hinge side) that keeping it from closing properly , I once had a pealing factory label do this , so it doesn't take much to trip the door switch

Frigidare Gallery microwve will not operate because door will not close properly. I suspect the problem is in the door latch but can't seem to figure out how to take the door apart or even if possible. Any...

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire Gallery microwave will not operate because the door will not close properly. Being that you are dealing with your microwave, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. You do not want to try and take apart anything on your appliance, as you do not want to damage your appliance any more, or even worse, bring harm to yourself or your family. The technician will be able to diagnose your microwave and determine what is causing the door to not close properly and your appliance to not operate. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Microwave door alignment

test all this steps and fix it. God bless you

  1. Open leverCheck your microwave lever to determine if it is damaged. If it is broken, simply replace the lever to get your microwave door fully functional again.
  2. Door springResponsible for keeping downward pressure on the door hook, the microwave door spring can begin to malfunction. If this part is broken and prevents you from opening your microwave door, replacement is necessary.
  3. Door latchOne reason your microwave door may not open properly is a broken door latch. Located inside the microwave, the door latch manipulates the door hook to keep the door closed for safety and top performance. If broken, the door could become stuck in the locked position.
  4. Door hookIf your microwave door will not release properly, the door hook could be damaged. Located inside the door, the door hook is made of plastic and prone to breakage with extended use or age. As this part is unable to be repaired, the only option is to replace it.
  5. Button or button springIf the microwave door will not open, it could be an internal failure of the button or button spring. If it is determined that either of these parts is the source, both are replaceable and it is recommended that they be installed at the same time.
  6. Handle actuatorIf the microwave door will not open the plastic handle actuator could be broken. Connected between the door button and the door latch assembly, this plastic part could become damaged and brittle over time, which makes breaking inevitable. If this occurs, replace the handle actuator to get your microwave fully functional again.

Cannot turn on the microwave oven. Getting E-10

E-10 = Control Board fault

This is usually associated to the main control circuit board. When this develops a fault it will quite simply disable the microwave. It can however be triggered by other less serious faults, for example the door switch can produce an E-10 error although this is rare. If it simply is not powering up then it is more than likely the main control board and needs to go to an LG repair centre to be properly repaired.

Hope this helps

Belling BEL-CJ/SS25 microwave

My Belling BEL-CJ/SS25 Microwave / oven / grill has recently developed a problem. Every time I close the door the turntable starts rotating, even when I'm not using it. It doesn't make a noise, and doesn't seem to be going into any cooking setting, and the light doesn't come on, but it turns until I open the door, when the light comes on and the turntable stops turning. This has only recently started happening, and nothing else seems to be wrong with it, Is this safe or should I get rid of it and buy a new one. The guarantee has expired so repair may be cost prohibitive.

MICROWAVE WILL NOT HEAT. F9 APPEARS IN THE DISPLAY WINDOW

F9 indicates a problem with the door latch.  There is a safety switch that will not allow the microwave to operate if it detects the door is not closed properly.  Even though physically it may seem the door is shut, the safety switch is not relaying the message to the onboard computer.  You need another door latch switch.
