2004 Pontiac Montana, when I open my drivers door the radio doesn't always shut off any more, I opened the passenger door & it shuts off, I think it's a door pin switch but I don't see a door pin, can you tell me where the drivers door pin switch is & the part # or is there a way to disconnect the radio so it shuts off with the key & not until the door opens?? Thanks

You don't find much with the door jamb switches any longer. Its all done inside the door with the switches being on the door latch.
the radio should still be able to be turned off manualy ;)

Why doesn't the radio shut off even when key is removed and driver door is opened?

My Guess is that radio is not the original one. They didn't connect the right wire that goes to your ignition switch. (acc power on) Hope that helps.

Drivers side power door lock

I would test the wiring with a voltmeter to see if you have a short or bad circuit

the inside door handle is probably broken. the cable may have popped out but usually its because the clips on the inside door handle break off. luckily you can just replace the handle and not have to get a whole new door panel

Radio will not turn off

U have a driver door defective courtesy light switch, this sytem has what is called delyed exit, it keeps all the accessories on until one of the door is opened, driver or passenger front will turn it off, so if the passenger front door shuts the radio off u need to replace the switch.

The passenger side auto sliding door will not shut... it almost closes then opens a little. Dinger dings indicating that the door is open even when it is manually shut and override switch is on. No message...

this is a common issue with these. The door for some reason goes out of alignment and you will have to either adjust the striker or the door track or take it somewhere and have them do it.Its better to have someone else do it so they have to fix it right if they want paid..
