Need lubrication for proform 785 belt - Proform 785 Treadmill

LUBE the deck belt, this happen because the lack of maintenance, and produce noise, maybe you have a WORN deck belt.
2) LUBE THE rollers bearing TOO.
3) test the motor for input voltage, if there are the motor need REPAIR.

This is indication Powerfully that Main controller Drive Board is demanding Enough Current .
This indicate 1) walking belt is worn or 2) the drive motor brushes are worn.
3)Leaky filter capacitor 4) inductor or coil faulty.
You must use A clamp-on ammeter for determine the amount of A.C. input current being drawn by the treadmill under Load and Not Load.

See the Block diagram for knowledge how the main controller board has aprox 90% of function of the treadmills. Good luck.

You may have damaged the treadmill when folding it up. If the incline was not lowered to its minimum position, the frame can be damaged.
To lower the treadmill, all you do is release the latch and lower the deck of the treadmill to the floor.
There are many Proform machines known as "785" including a number of elliptical trainers. An actual model number would make diagnosis much easier...

The deck needs to be lubricated. The lubricant can be purchase @ gympart.com. LUBRICATION PROCEDURE: 1. Turn off and unplug treadmill. 2. Cut off the end of the tube of lubricant. 3. Holding the tube in one hand, insert the tube underneath the treadbelt halfway between front and back and halfway between right and left. 4. Squeeze the full contents of the tube onto the deck in a circular pattern in the center 1/3 of the deck. 5. Plug in and turn on treadmill, then walk normally on treadmill at 0.5 mph for five minutes

if it is a plastic belt do not put any oil near it as that degrades it

I had simillar problem. I have proform 830 QT. My trademill stops after 10 minutes of work out. Everything shuts down and the circuit breaker pops out.

Root cause:- no lubrication under walking belt. Caused the moter to over work (over heat) and hence te circuit breaker popped out to prevent blowing of motor.

Solution:- Apply the lubricant under walking belt and adjust the belt tension if needed.

Back ground:- Contact proform customer service at 1-888-533-1333 (http://www.iconservice.com/proform/faq_tread.html) and buy the treadmil cleaning kit or lubricant kit which comes with a wand for easy application. It may cost you 35 dollars including shipping. If you need to fix your treadmil right away, use NAPA silicon spray 8300. Proform actually tells do not use it as it may damage your belt. However the specialst who came to fix my treadmill just sprayed it and collected 100 dollars. When I called proform they told me lubricating will fix it and its my mistake to not trust them. I guess they knew exactly what they were saying.
