Small blue box in lower corner that wont go away

If you have pip or picture in picture, it may be active and set to a source that has no signal which would give you a blue screen.

I had the same problem for awhile too.
The box is your call equalizer settings.  The descending line indicates "boost bass" and the ascending line indicates "boost treble"
This usually only shows when you have your BB headset connected, to change the settings:
-plug in your headset -make a call, (voice mail works good for this) -press your menu button -select "Enhance Call Audio"
-make your selection
You'll see your choice on the screen

Red dot

I suspect that your intsructions might help you find out what this red dot indicates. I have had customers send their cameras in for service complaining about a dark rectangle in the lower right hand corner of their Olympus cameras' LCD. Turns out it was the exposure "burst" counter.
