F01 is a very straight forward error and it means that your dryer has detected a short in the main relay power control board mounted to the left side wall under the top panel of the dryer. Oct 19, 2018
Please check your manual for the factory reset procedure that you've mentioned. If you can't find it, the next step would be to request the factory-reset from Maytag by calling them directly. You can check their website for their phone number or tweet at them via twitter if they have an account. Otherwise, you might need to setup an appointment with Home Depot repair to diagnose the problem at your home.
F01 is a control unit failure does this come up when you push the start button or did you go into diagnostic to get this code I have seen it come up as a false code check the start button does it spring back like all the other buttons if so replace control if not the button is broke
The F01 error code indicates a communication error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the EEPROM onboard the CCU occurred. This type of failure generally requires replacing the Central Control Unit (CCU). You could try disconnecting the power cord for a couple of minutes and then reconnect the power cord. If it continues to flash "F01" I recommend calling a service technician to remove and replace the CCU.
f01 is usually control bd failure but first try removing power to washer hold start button or almost any button will work for 10-20 sec reconnect power and try again if still codes f01 suspect main control bd top rear of washer
F01 is not a valid fault code but if it is displaying that and all the lights are flashing the main computer has gone haywire. Possibly the display board (in the plastic panel that houses the buttons) may be faulty but this is unlikely
