Is the backup disks that HP recomended you make when you bought the computer and reinstalll everything. Or
GO to the HP website. Type in your model number and find out the proceedure to reinstall the computer if a Backup exists on the hard driver. In other words download the manual to find out. If not on the hard drive find out the proceedure to opbtain one from them.

What you need to do is install your ethernet card first. The card usually comes with a disc with the drivers and utility. Make sure you get that done to get it out of the way.
