Just output via the AV jacks, and use a TV/Video input card or USB dongle. You can then Play the DVR, and Record on the PC, With Video Recording Software, through the Video Input. On your chosen device. You can get Component, or Composite Video IN. Audio is in Stereo. Then you will be able to be able to use your camera again... ?
After careful inspection, a hard rubber roller that is part of the tape take up mechanism, has fallen off. Located and removed from casing. Still need schematic of JVC GR-DF 450 Mini DV to secure roller back on.
Can you plug the camcorder into the wall via the provided dc cable and your ac adaptor? If so your battery terminal cound have gotten bent, or a fuse link could have opened up inside. check above test first.

Check customer support on the JVC website - there has been a massive worldwide problem with the CCD IC which causes the symptons you describe. They may repair free of charge even if out of warranty.
