Question about Motorola Mobility MOTORAZR2 V9 Cellular Phone

Both screens on Motorola Razr2 V9 quit working -m faint backlight visible and phone powers up AT&T initiation sounds and phone vibrates when soft butons pushed. Unable to perform master reset vis screens as these are non visible. Tried software uodate via motorola site but states software is up to date - any ideas how to recover?

    No I was asking how I can do a hard reset without going through the screen menus.

Hi,
there are two kinds of white screen in phone,
the first one is because of damage LCD (glass screen) ,
defective display driver (small chips that makes the display works)
and the other one is corrupted software...in damage lcd the phone will detected
by computer because its software is still working...so ,
the problem of your phone am sure is the second one ,
corrupted software....your phone needs to reprogram,and
need to go to the model of the phones care center to fix you problem...

Hi,

Since everything works fine, just the display problem, with this, there is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying any picture.

The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.

I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display picture again. You might also be lucky to find out that the flex is not well fix, that is, it may have loosed contact.

If you cannot change the flex yourself, maybe you should take the phone to a local repairer within your vicinity, so that the flex can be fixed/replaced.

I have a motorola v9. The keypad has stopped working, showed to service centre and they say that the connection between keypad and screen needs replacement - does this make sense ?


let me ask you if the power button is working,while others not.if it is working,the only things you do is,you have noticed the side key of your v9,disassemble it and clean the side key interface.your problem will be solve.

Problem with motorola motorazr2 cell phone


Try taking it back to the shop you bought it from and ask them if they know anything about it. Also google search your phone and see if anyone else has the same problem. I find if i have a problem with anything googling it helps.
