1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is asoftech photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

Hi, Joe. It is quite possible to recover the photos no matter deleted, formatted, lost or inaccessible from your sd card. All you need to do first is by trying SD card data recovery software tools.

Note: before those files are recovered, never should you attempt to save more data to the card. better stop using it for a moment. Regards.

What do you mean by "a corrupted SD card"?
As I know, the corrupted SD card could be damaged in two ways: logically or physically.
The logically damaged drive is till fixable and inner contained data is also recoverable.
What one should do to resolve this problem is to firstly retrieve the contained pictures off from this SD card and format this SD card to see whether it could be fixed afterwards.
In order to restore these pictures, you could try a SD card data recovery freeware here:
http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/12/sd-card-recovery.html
But, if this drive is physically damaged, I am sorry to tell you that your data is gone permanently. If you insist, you could take it to an expert for help. But, that is often depressing.

Hi there,
Connected to virus infected computer, file system errors, improper data operations performed on SD card or interruptions that occur during the transfer of photos from SD card to computer due to sudden system shut can corrupt your SD memory card becomes inaccessible resulting in loss of files. It is essential to fix the corruption of memory card in order to get back lost media files by utilizing some effective tool available on the internet. Don't format the memory card or use it to save any new files on SD card. I found one such application that had helped me to recover SD card files through the guidance of its user friendly interface. I was able to restore all lost SD card files and preview them actually before saving them. Try to download it on your PC, connect your corrupted memory card and perform few simple steps. Later you will be pleased to see all lost files from your SD card.

Recuva ( don't think bad of it because of the name, it is a great tool ) would be your best bet for recovering lost files.

Plug in the card and then start Recuva. It will scan the card and show you all the files on the card that can be retrieved.

All accidentally deleted.

I would suggest you "NOT" to copy anymore files on your SD Card to prevent data loss or data corruption. Stop using it immediately.

PNY optima sd card "card error"

You should try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your camera card, here are some you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music.
Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

I need to purchase this memory car and don't know where to get it

Don't bother with a Vivitar Card (i'm not even sure they make them). Buy an SD Card from a decent brand like SanDisk, Kingston or PNY. A 512MB card will store about 200 photos with your camera. I'd recommend a 1/2gb card. More photos and can be found for peanuts these days.
