Hello I have got camera Sanyo Xacti vpc - ca9gx. Recently i lost mic but camera still was recording but after while stop working. On the top is red light flashing but it is not starting. I have open the body of camera and probably found a problem. There is black tape conecting body with lcd and is very tight so when screen was moving this tape broke. This is my idea but maybe You will have different solution. If this is only this thing I can replace this tape but very hard to find in Poland. If You give me an answer what is wrong or where I can buy this part I wll appriciate.

Think you have it about thin sheets like fcc flatcontactcable that can about problems with sun heat build up inside there are special hotmelt repairs something like this kind of fcc without tools very difficult . hope you can something do with it knowing that Sanyo was become a part of PANASONIC in 2008

If You not work with repair cameras - not touch

Screen of my cam (Sanyo Xacti VPC A5) has lost its visual after fell down from table..

Cameras do not fair very well from even slight impacts, it will need to be looked at by repair shop.

Well i have a Sanyo J1 Xacti Digital camera and i lost the CD with the software to download the pictures from camera to Computer. Is there any site where i can get download it? Thanks

Try Sanyo.com - look for support button.

Most newer computers with newer operating systems will detect a camera/camcorder when connected to USB. Have you tried it without the disk?

I have an older Xacti that records to SD card. You can use a flash card reader to transfer files without Sanyo software.

Hi, try to open the camera and check the 'mic' if its working or not.you need todo is desolder and resolder the connection of the mic. in that case you will know the problem.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1- doesn't do anything in record mode

As I have been writing on other HD1/2 problems, sometimes it can be the card which is an issue. If the card is too slow or perhaps corrupted then the device can find it difficult to record.

This and other soft faults (that are reperable by turning the power on and off, changing or reinserting the card, removing the battery) are often indicated by a flashing red recording light.
