Can you please re-check the tags and labels, and see if there is either a typo, or if there might be any other model/make info? First find the Model Number and Serial number. Next go to Craftsman.com follow menu to Manuals. Enter the model and serial numbers. This should bring up the Manual with the manufacturing Date.
