My less than 2 yr old 09 Kia Rio battery went bad. Replaced it but now clock, radio, and not working or tpms lit but not working right. HELP, please!!!

Just had my battery changed in my 2009 kia rio and now the radio will not turn on please help

    Just had the same think happen to me. Battery changed at Walmart then the radio and the fog lights no longer work. Think they may have hooked the battery up wrong and blown it out. Guess I'm going to take it to a dealership and see what they say. Then it will be the matter of getting walmart to get some compensation. Not really holding my breath for that one though.

2008 Kia Rio. Horn not working and Airbag light is on. Have checked horn fuse and also replaced relay. Any ideas?
As Steve said the clock spring in the steering column can be the reason for both of the problems you have . As the wheel is turned left or right the clock spring allows contact for the horn and airbag systems .

Kia take more than one O2 sensor, and they are probably original equipment, so start there. Also, replace plug wires. There is also a fuel filter that is the old style filter, needs replaced too. This sounds like all it needs to me is some TLC!!! O2 sensors are going to be $130.00 or less. Plug wires are $30.00. Filter-$10.00. Not too bad a price to get your performance and economy back!!

Kia rio 2003 alternators burning up?
Check Alternator Voltage regulator if it fails it can send up to 18volts to the battery and make sure your battery is not too old usually most batterys will fail after around 2-3years causing the alternator to work harder . Also check your fuses someone may have put a wrong fuse somewhere. Don't buy a used alternator. Good luck.Student Mechanic LWIT Kirkland

SOUND LIKE BAD STARTER SOLENOID.IF YOU HEAR LIKE CLICKING NOISE.CHECK BATTERY CABLE FOR TIGHTNESS AND CLEAN FREE FROM CORROSSION.CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SHOULD BE 12.5 VOLTS.IF NOT BATTERY HAS WEAK CELL IN IT.IF YOU HAVE TO REPLACE BATTERY.TURN OFF RADIO BEFORE DISCONNECTING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE SO YOU WONT LOCK OUT RADIO CODE.

My battery went bad in my 2007 Kia Rio. Once I got a jump, my radio didn't work. I just replaced the battery but it still doen't work. HELP
you might find that you have to put a code in your radio as the power was disconected,the code should be in your manual or the n=main dealer should be able to help, other than that it could be a fuse
