The third row power-fold seat consists of the following electrical components:

  • right third row seat relay.
  • left third row seat relay.
  • right power-fold seat motor.
  • left power-fold seat motor.
  • right front third row seat switch.
  • left front third row seat switch.
  • right rear third row seat switch.
  • left rear third row seat switch.
For the third row power-fold seat to operate, a shared ground is supplied by the body security module (BSM) to both of the power-fold seat relays, enabling the seats to then be moved by pressing one of the third row power-fold seat switches. The third row power-fold seat operates only when the vehicle is in PARK and the ignition switch is ON (or the battery saver yet tripped), and the liftgate glass or liftgate door must be open.
The third row power-fold seat motors transfer movement to a drive gear assembly to raise and lower the seat backrest. The power-fold seat motors rotate a short drive cable which is connected to the drive gear assembly.

Where are the relays located. My RH won't move. It has 10.1VDC at the connector. And it switches +- depending on which way switch is depressed. Motor still won't work. It works from Connector on LH.

Clicking noise right rear by third seat 2004 eddie bauer expedition when rear heat and air on or car on

I had the same problem with 2004 Expedition. Changed the actuator for the blend door. This is the one that determines the air temp (cold ---- hot). Purchased Actuator from Advance Auto Parts and installed. I was able to install this pulling out on panel, but it's tight and you will have limited movement and sight. It started clicking again in about a year. After reading other solutions, I realize my Blend Door may be hanging at times. It currently only clicks on coldest setting. If it's moved off of cold a little the clicking will stop. I have also noticed if the setting is not moved in just the spot and you use other electrical current such as windows or brakes it will click because of voltage change and will need adjusting more. I have to adjust this setting in the front if set on front controls as well as the rear if set for rear control. It works fine on Warm or Hot setting. I plan to check door binding when I have time. Good Luck

More then likely the electric motor is failing, going up puts allot more load on the small motor. Have a dealer check this and confirm my guess.

Try jacking up the vehicle and putting it on jack stands letting the suspension hang down. Disconnect the battery for a few minuts and reconnect it and it should inflate the airbags and level off the suspension.

How do you replace a Cabin Air Filter and air filter for vented front seats?

The seat filters are located underneath each seat, driver and passenger. Slide seat(s) all way forward. From the rear reach underneath and feel for a small square filter, about 2x3in. Grasp an edge and pull down , it will pop out. Replace same way. Good hunting finding replacements. Had to go to a dealer and order.
