Biostar Mother Board: BIOSTAR G31-M7 TE OS: Windows 7. The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 On Board Graphic does not boot on Windows 7 with Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family downloaded and installed from Windows Update. It keeps on rebooting after W7 logo appears during startup. Is there a solution to it? What proper W7 driver should I use?

not familiar with that particular board/bios. theres typically an option in the bios (usually F2 etc) for boot devices. you'll need your USB set as a bootable device.

You'll also need a bootable USB drive with the install image (cant just copy the contents of the disc over, it wont work) Heres the MS tool: Windows USB DVD Download Tool

be sure you install the specific graphic drivers, click start or run menu below left,then click run, type dxdiag then check the specification and information regarding your video graphics.

your video card will install on mother board it eather doesnt support it or its drivers in it are to old.

That motherboard has integrated video card (Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100) but probably you want to upgrade to better video card (that motherboard support 1 x PCI-E x16 Slot) so any PCI Express video card will do the job.

There you can download all the drivers for you motherboard including: Chipset, Onboard VGA, LAN, AUDIO and USB 2.0 drivers.

I am TJ from singapore and i brought a Biostar G31-M7 TE motherboard few week ago. My PC speaker do not have any sound even i install sound driver so i want to know weather the motherboard has any built-in sound card. If you know how to solve it please help [email protected]

Just so I'm clear, here's what I'm hearing in your question:

• You already possess an "Intel Pentium 4 proccesor (socket 775)" CPU chip.
• You are shopping for a motherboard, and have desire to marry that chip with a "Biostar G31-M7 TE" motherboard (MB).
• That is, until a "dealer" told you "That M/B don't work with these proccesor".

If this is accurate, I believe the one operative word out of all the many above, is "DEALER". My guess is this dealer is "dealing", and either:

• doesn't want to sell only the MB without whatever chip he currently has installed in it.
• wants to get you to give up on YOUR chip in order to get one from him,
• or is honestly mistaken ... because unless he knows something that you, I, and the MB manufacturer are not privy to, he's plainly wrong.

Per the MB's own spec-sheet, the "Biostar G31-M7 TE socket 775 mATX motherboard features an Intel G31 / Intel ICH7 chipset with support for socket 775 ... Pentium 4 Processor"s. I personally would have no hesitation pairing that chip with this MB.

In conclusion, the answer your final question: "Who has the reason". I believe it's clear that it's the "dealer" who has reason ... to not provide you with accurate advice!
