Iam unable to install a Jar file ( games ) to the Nokia N73 Handset. The error message that I get is " Unable to Install". Can somebody help please. I have tried formatting the memory card as well.

You may have to reformat your phone. Try installing the latest firmware on the phone first.
Then try the 3 button format
Switch off the phone and when you are powering on the phone hold the following keys at the same time.
on/off + * + 3

i have wphone. it have 2gb, but when i am installing good games it make file is oversized!!!

try to download the applications to your computer first, then connect your phone to computer, open your pc suite and copy the downloaded file from your computer to your phone's memory card, once copied, disconnect your phone from your computer,open your file explorer and look for the downloaded files in your memory card and install.

applications extension files for your handset is, jar, jad, sis and sisx..

yes i have a solution you need too look for .cab files the seem to work alot more .jar and .jad files are common but dont always work well

n73 is S60 3th version, and sis is application instaler for earlier edition... you have to use sisx files for your phone...

we can transfer the java games by using the data cable. following are the steps 1. connect the mobile with the PC by using the data cable 2. transfer both jad and jar files to the "MTP" folder in the memory card of the device. 3. disconnect the data cable 4. go to "my files" menu 5. go to  the "memory card"  5. move both the JAD and JAR files to the "phone"  6. get back from memory card to my files
device will ask for the installation of the game. if not, follow the steps below.
7. select the "other files" folder
8. select the JAD file.
the installation prompt will be displayed
