Jenn-Air Refrigerator JS42SEDBDA Model 12606032GJ was in house when I brought house. No user manual. Does this model have a water filter? The refrigerator has the words water filter,and underneath that is the words working, order,replace but none of these are lit up. If it has a water filter, where would I find it?

Just a thought. I don't know this fridge, but where the water is coming down, there should be a small gully. In the gully is a small hole, where the water should run out, to a hot spot.
If some food or alga came in the tube, cleaning it, could solve the problem. I don't think this will be in the manual.

Located on the rear wall of the refrigerator cabinet. Make sure you turn the water off first and unplug the unit.

From your description I'll gather you're not getting ice cubes either and need to replace the ice maker

I believe your new Jen-Air has an old model number placed above your post. If you had a newer model nuber I could see if changes were made to the solution. The ods are no changes. I it possible you may have missed removal of te flilter plug? It also is your first time and to press the 2 buttons at same time for 8 to 10 seconds may be a little confusing. I bet after this time you will have this down to an art! here is what I could find without the vorrect model number if that is what happened or not.Jenn-Air
