I cant connect my tv to computer

Hello

All modern TV's can be used as computer monitors - you just need the correct cables and select the correct input on the TV.

What cable are you using to connect your PC to your TV? VGA or HDMI? Your listed TV has both ports but your computer may not have a HDMI port. Either way, connect the correct cable from your PC to your TV and note how the port is labeled.

Turn the TV on and then find the "Input Select" button on the remote and press it until the above port appears on the screen.

If you use the VGA port, you will need to hook up the audio from the PC to the "PC/DVI Audio In" port so the sound will play on the TV speakers.

You can find the manual for your TV here:

Hope this helps!

Need help with what cables to use...

First make sure that both the monitor and the fios box have power cords (just to see if she took them away). If they do then the next step is will need a cable to hook your tv to your cable box. Most likely you were using an HDMI cable which on the ends of the cable have kind of a square head that is usually gold or silver in color. Then take one end and plug it into the fios box then the other into the tv. If there is no HDMI cable there might be a cable that has either 3 or 5 plugs on each end with certain colors. Just match the colors up on the box and the tv. If it is 3 plugs on each end then it is an av cable and that is the input you will have to select on the tv. 5 plugs and it is a composite cable and select that input. If it was the HDMI then choose that input. Hope this helps.

Dell Dimension 2400 manual

Unless your TV has a VGA socket (it should be blue, have many pins and look just like the one on your computer monitor,) and an audio-in jack (it'll look something like a 3.5mm headphone jack,) you cannot connect the PC to your TV without other accessories. If it DOES have those ports though, just buy a two-ended headphone cable and an SVGA connector cable (unless you can use the one from your computer monitor,) from Monoprice.com, hook them up, hit 'input' on your remote with both TV and PC on and you're in business! Best of luck with it!

How do i hook my computer to my tv

You will need to connect the computer and tv by using a cable and connect them. Your TV has ports such as VGA, S-Video or HDMI on it to allow it to receive a signal from some external device. Your computer needs to have the same type of port or you will need something (some type of adapter) to make the tv and computer think they have the same type of connecting ports. Most laptops have an extra port for displaying on an external device such as a tv. Most desktops don't have an extra port so you will need to purchase a video (graphics) card that has the ports on it and install it into one of the desktop's pci slots.

Once you have the ports on both devices (tv and computer) then connect them with a cable. Then take the tv's remote and press Select Input so you can tell the tv where to receive the signal from (PC, VGA, S-Video, HDMI). Reboot the computer and the image should appear on the tv.

On laptops The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

I have a HP Pavilliona630n and I would like to hook up speakers to this computer. My monitor is a HPS2031 and it does not have speaker inputs or outputs. What type of speakers and cables do I need to buy...

The HPS2031 monitor has a audio-in jack port behind the monitor. You just need a audio cable male-to-male to connect from monitor to the cpu. Make sure the audio drivers for the computer are installed

Monitor is getting power but no sign of life. Even the On/Off button has no illumination.

Most cases of a monitor doing that would have something to do with the cables and ports. Ensure that your video card is mounted properly (don't do this while your computer is on), and check the plug in the back to make sure it's firmly attached. If all of this is alright, check the input ports on the back of your monitor, you may have a plug in the wrong slot or not in at all. Another attempt at solving the problem can be made by hooking the monitor up to a laptop or another computer to see if it turns on, if it does, there's something wrong with the computer itself. Anything wrong with the computer can include: An improperly mounted video card, a video card not receiving power (some cards require extra power, if you have an older card, don't worry about this), or your motherboard might have a physical issue (most likely not the case.)
