Could be some bad connections with the speakers; are you check this harnesses and wires?
Additionally, about the Bluetooth, accorrding with the Tevion 43744 User Guide... first will need PAIRING paorcedure. Press and hold BND/ID3/TEL button until the word "PAIRING" blinks on the display waiting for the bluetooth device to connect.
At this blinking time, please run the bluetooth search and connect function in your mobile phone. The car radio model no "BT Car Stereo" will be shown on the mobile phone . Select this car radio and connect. When you are asked for a connection password, please input "0000" in your mobile phone to finish the pairing, there is "PAIR OK" to show on the LCD. Then the bluetooth icon will be shown on the car radio LCD indicating that the bluetooth function is ready to use.
Hope this helps.
Hello just to verify before I get into the wiring of the issue, but is this your car...
and is the engine a 2.4Liter?...Saailer
I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/david_6df67de3b14de867
Hi, yes it's like my car. Mine is a 2.2 diesel.
Go through this one more timeto be certain the wiring follows the instructions...
Wiring Connection
Make sure that you have a good chassis ground. Good ground connections will eliminate most electrical noise problems. A good chassis ground requires a tight connection to the vehicle's metal chassis. The area around the ground connection should be clean, bare metal without rust, paint, plastic, dust, or dirt for a good electrical connection

Follow the above wiring diagram to install the head unit with new or existing speakers.
This unit is designed for use with four (4) speakers with an impedance between 4 Ohms to 8 Ohms.
An impedance load of less than 4 Ohms could damage the unit.
Never bridge or combine the speaker wire outputs. When not using four speakers, use electrical tape to tape the ends of the un-used speaker outputs to prevent a short circuit.
Never ground the negative speaker terminals to chassis ground...Send comment ...Saailer
Yes this is all checked and the ground is very good. Connections are clean and tight.
I am beginning to suspect the radio itself!
Paul
New comment - I am certain it's the radio/bluetooth unit.
Hello! We have spent a lot of time and energy to boil it down to the radio...Take it out of the vehicle and set it on a bench or table top...Apply +12 volts to it from the cigar lighter in the car ...Hook an antenna to it ...A strip of television antenna cable about 4' long laid horizontally makes a great FM antenna...Hook up a speaker or two and see if it will play out side of the car...It has to come out any way...I'll be about the business of gathering prints but My guess is power transitors...You could open it up and check for internal fuses...keep me posted and We'll see if we can get you "Some Tunes"!!..saailer
Thanks Saailer,
Yes much time has been spent and I appreciate your time too.
I will remove and place on bench.
I'll check the fuses and try to locate some transistors!

Paul: Please do not think this is a stupid question but your running this stereo through an amplifier; Correct...The stereo will need to be connected to an amplifier before connected to any additional speakers or subwoofer, otherwise the stereo will not be able to distribute the sound across the speakers properly... saailer
Paul: Go to this link and give it a read....Saailer
http://www.quesh.co.uk/Car_Audio/43744_C...
Hi Saailer,
The stereo is not connected to an amplifier. According to the manual a subwoofer can be connected directly to the stereo, it also has an RCA output for an amp and can also handle four speakers directly.
The stereo plays USB and CDs well with good clear sound from all four built in speakers.
Paul
Hello!..Yes, they are related...If this is a new install or one that has, at one point in time, worked properly, I need the Year, make and model of the vehicle the unit is installed in in order to be certain of correct or defective wiring...I'll the problem...It's what I do...See wiring below from the Tevion side...Guru...saailer...
You sound like a very knowledgeable person; So the following is not meant to insult you knowledge...Merely to establish a trouble shooting base...What I need is the vehicle year, make and model the unit is installed in to match wire for wire... at that point, knowing that the wiring is correct...I can solve the problem...
In the rear of the unit.\, on the right, connector A is above connector B...
odd # pins on top row ...Even on bottom row of each connector...ie...top=1, ,3, ,5, and 7...Bottom= 2, ,4, ,6, and 8...

2 RR=Blue/White (-)
3 FR=Grey (+)
5 FR=Grey/White (-)
5 FL=Green (+)
6 FL=Green/White (-)
7 RL=Brown (+)
8 RL+Brown/Whits (-)
Connector B:

3 "
4 Constant 12 volts memory lead...Yellow
5 Antenna power Orange
6 Illumination White
7 ACC RED
8 bare metal chassis ground
In the rear of unit...Connector A is above connector B
Hello! On the rear of the unit, follow the antenna input...Where that terminates is the radio circuit board...Do a close-up inspection of the antenna lead in to where it is soldered to the board...Also check the vehicle's antenna for a short between the antenna (+) and the Ground Shield...Continuity to chassis ground from the antenna shield and continuity to the antenna...The circuit where the antenna connects is the prime suspect...I know we discussed power transistors early on but after reading the entire exchange I've a suspicion the antenna may be the fault...The radio not locking on ANY station will not allow pairing to a blue tooth device...Correct me if I'm wrong but you never get to the point of input of "0000" when prompted by your BT device...We are very close to a solution...saailer
Hello! Tell me what orange connector B wire you are talking about? On the vehicle or the stereo? Also, did you install an older unit and remove the problem one?..saailer
×
Yes the issues are related. As I recall from my experience the circuits are inner connected. One issue can be a very small burn. Did you hook the speakers up wrong or use an amp that was too much for the radio? If new return it to the place of purchase. If not new please have it checked for continuity by an expert of reputation.
Hi Scarbs,
To connect the bluetooth , Press and hold BND/ID3/TEL button until the word "PAIRING" blinks on the display waiting for the bluetooth device to connect.
Press and hold MOD / "Answer" button (with green phone logo), it will disconnect the phone.
Check if the Radio works after the above procedure.
Try Automatic scanning and setting of the radio channels, this can be done as follows :-
While listening to the FM radio, press and hold the F/PS Button. The receiver will automatically scan and save stations of the 3 FM Bands.
While listening to the MW Radio, press and hold the F/PS Button. The receiver will automatically scan and save stations of the 2 MW Bands.
Hope this helps ...:)
Hi there,
No, these functions are separate from each other.
Assuming the head unit has been installed correctly, detach the faceplate and "RESET" the unit by pressing the reset micro switch with a fine tip pen (or similar object).
If this does not rectify the sound issue, then check to see if the unit is on MUTE.
As far as the Bluetooth is concerned, ensure you have engaged the Pairing mode correctly (press and hold BND/ID3/TEL button) and then enter the password "0000".
If none of the above resolve your issues, then service may be required.
Cheers,
Hi,
The no sound issue and the Bluetooth issue I believe is not related, unless the source of audio you are playing is from a Bluetooth device then they will be related.
For the sound issue if you are using your phone to get the Audio from then you will have to pair your phone to the Stereo first to get audio.
About the no sound have you tried FM or AM to see if there is any sound from the Stereo if there is then the issue is the Pairing of your stereo to the Bluetooth device.
About the Bluetooth here is the Link where you can download the user manual on pairing the Bluetooth device to your mobile phone.
I hope that this helps you getting the Bluetooth working to get Audio from a Bluetooth Device.
Have a nice day.
Well those issues may be related to a general unit mulfuction. have you tried the reset fuction yet? post back for a followup
No the bluetooth and the radio are not related. The radio has a different tuner section working on the FM range ( 88Mhz - 108Mhz ) and the bluetooth works on a ISM band which has a very high frequeency of 2.4Ghz. The car stereo has independent receivers for both. For both to work the amplifier in the car stereo has to work. First try searching for a radio station on the radio and see if it locks on to a station and the stereo or tuned indication lights up on the display. If it does the radio is working and no sound could be because of amp failure ( ruling out speaker problem because all the 4 speakers cannot fail together ). The bluetooth not connecting could be an altogether different problem of not pairing.
There is a problem on the tuner section of your car stereo because it is at the main board some functions like bluetooth is affected this requires a bench repair I would suggest to bring it to the service center they are the only one can give the proper parts and repair for your unit.Im sorry this is not a DIY issue..thank you!
Hello
Do your Tevion output sound with CD playing? Is there a "Welcome" display on screen when you switch ON the device? Is this issue only with bluetooth and radio only? Clarify these please.
If the complaint is with connecting bluetooth only do the following once more.
# Press and hold BND/ID3/TEL button until the word “PAIRING” blinks on the display waiting for the bluetooth
device to connect. ## At this blinking time, please run the bluetooth search and connect function in your mobile phone. The car radio model no “BT Car Stereo” will be shown on the mobile phone . Select this car
radio and connect. When you are asked for a connection password, please input “0000” in your mobile phone to finish the pairing, there is “PAIR OK” to show on the LCD. Then the bluetooth icon will be shown on the car radio LCD
indicating that the bluetooth function is ready to use.
If pairing function does not occur between phone and this Tevion device, either the pairing circuit for bluthooth is not get its supply voltage, of the section is faulty. Your set need further chek for voltages inside it, and this is a skilled work indeed. Just contact any experienced service technician of the authorised service center for Tevion at your town. This circuit part comes on the front panel board of the set, just behind it. You have to disassembe this section to repair. OK.
Both RAdio and bluetooth section circuits works with the same supply line inside. If this supply line has some trouble [break of absence of voltage due to some voltage regulator problem]; both sections won't work together. OK.
OK.
There is trouble with radio part of the set. As I've informed earlier if the radio IC has gone shorted, it will drop out the secondary voltage for blue tooth section. Just get it repaired by any expereinced service techniclan. OK.

Helo there,
The problems are not related. The problem with the radio stereo not bringing out sound is simply because there is either a wiring problem or that the stereos fuse is bad. Try to check for the fuse of the speaker. most of the time, it is located under the front panel of the passenger side of the front seat, or in the box that is located at the right corner of the engine.
The bluetooths issue is caused by the synchronization of the devices. Ensure that the bluetooth of the stereo is turned on, then you try to pair the bluetooth of the device you are trying to connect with bluetooth of the stereo.
If you already have the stereo on the list, delete it from the bluetooth list and try to pair them again.
Hope this helped.
Goodluck

Hi!
Check other stations as well. However, if you are using bluetooth as your primary connector to your car stereo then it maybe the cause. Try using the USB cable that comes free (if you have). Check out also the user manual.
Probably. Need to check auxillerys and line fuse and amp fuse.
FixYa Support
Hello there, the problems with your unit are in no way related to each other. He sound problem could only be caused by a couple of issues these include the wiring from the unit to the speakers and the sound IC which is a component inside the unit. If the cables which are connected froom the unit to the speakers are intact then the sound IC needs replacement. On the other hand the bluetooth problem most likely is caused by compatibilityof the bluetooth devices which both units contain. Hope this solution has been helpful? Thank you for visiting FixYa. First check the wiring and try to sort out the sound problem.
Make sure that your other device's Bluetooth is switched on andif that is a phone, make sure you have keyed in the correct password 000. Forsound problem check all the wirings. If the problem still exists, find resetbutton at the back of the Tevion 43744 car stereo and press it. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.
Check the wiring, speakers, and speaker terminals. might just be aloose connection somewhere. All four speakers wouldn't go out like that at thesame time if it was the speaker terminal. Its either the connection on the backof the stereo, or your fuse. Some cars, the actual stereo uses a different fusethan the speakers.
It could also be theamp, which probably overheated and burnt.
Once you solve it, others solve automatically.
Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

Usually answered in minutes!
This info is generic and didn't solve my problem. Some elements were incorrect.
No problem with wires or connections as the speakers work (it plays CDs and USB etc. but not the radio). I have tried to pair two bluetooth devices - one an old ipaq pocket PC which is also my SATNAV (hence requirement for bluetooth) and a new smartphone neither of which connect!
No loose connections to speakers. As described earlier - CD, USB etc work fine. Clear sound with no break-up.
I know how to pair but neither phone is recognising car stereo BT!
If stereo is producing sound in some cases how can line fuse etc. be the issue?
Tried many other stations but no sound is heard. I think it finds the stations (can't be sure) but no sound! Radio is inbuilt and not via bluetooth connection. Bluetooth is purely for phone calls and SATNAV voice.
It seems the respondents are failing to read the full log. Shame, I keep receiving the same sort of dull advice.
I turn the unit on and receive Welcome screen. The stereo outputs sound with CD. No sound with radio. Bluetooth does not 'pair' despite following all instructions. No device is shown on both my phone or my wife's phone therefore I am unable to enter 0000.
This is somewhat helpful but I'm keen to DIY it. Need a solution first.
Yes, I know the circuit. What about the radio issue?
Your reply is most helpful thank you - but I am hearing things through the speakers when playing CDs etc, so not amp failure - is it?
The amplifier in the stereo works I'm sure as I'm getting sound out of the four speakers! Just not radio. Bluetooth doesn't wish to connect either!
Radio unplugged for over 30 mins and still no sound from radio! Remember speakers and amp ARE working!
Thank you. I suspected such but hoped somebody might be able to provide diagram and repair? I am hopeful.
Received some good advice but no solution. I may require a wiring diagram for my radio. Any takers?
Yes, tried all that has been suggested so far.
Reset didn't solve issues.
No new help or advice at all.
Have done so but still same issues.
Radio does not appear to lock onto stations - certainly not any traffic announcements. If tuned manually then still no sound from radio. CD and USB work though so amp is fine.
Thanks but I've tried all that as detailed in my comments earlier.
Same advice as before. Please read the whole story including comments from me.
No help at all. All of this info is in the manual and, as I stated in the details, I followed the manual to the letter.
Only try to help if you have new information for me.
I keep getting messages stating the obvious!
Don't try to blag $12 from me!!!
I have taken the radio out - at last!
There are no fuses inside the unit. When the working CD unit is out there isn't much left to be honest. I can take photos of the inside if this will help locate the power transistors - remember the unit works - it's simply the radio and bluetooth units that don't.
Thanks for your help.
Paul I just sent a comment thinking this was a new fault...its been awhile ...so ignore the wing i just sent...Update me on the situation as is is right now...Saailer
Well Saailer. Yes it has been a while - just got round to removing it. The CD unit which is in good working order takes up most of the internals. There are two boards attached to the mainboard that remain - one being very small and, I suspect, is the bluetooth one. The other, in close proximity, is the radio I think. Saying that though - the rear of the unit has some other circuitry and is hidden behind the frame and covered with plastic although this may be powering the speakers etc.?
Am happy to take photos and/or do some more investigating.
I'll follow your lead if I may.
Thanks, Paul
Thanks Saailer,
All wires were correctly connected with the exception of the Orange Connector B wire. I now have an older stereo in the car which is working well on the same connectors. Doesn't have all the fancy bits though!
Vehicle is Toyota Estima Aeras, *** Import, 1997, 2.2 diesel. The photo you provided on Oct 23, 2011 is correct.
Paul
I have the radio in pieces.
All contacts seem good and there appears to be no scorch marks or burning smells from the board.
I've left it in pieces in the hope you can direct me in what I need to test. I have an ammeter.
Paul
I removed the problem one from the vehicle and installed an old one - radio works well. Orange cable is wrapped in tape as it's redundant.
Paul
Orange cable is on stereo - it powers the remote aerial. I don't have one!
