I have two folders on the sd card Music and Video but the contents do not show on the e250. The sd card has 2 gigs.

  • john_do1 Sep 06, 2011

    Hi,

The files work fine on the computer. Files have to be converted to work on the e250, does this apply to files on sd cards? if so, how can this be accomplished?

  • john_do1 Sep 15, 2011

I removed the video from the folder but it still does not work. However if I attach the e250 to the computer everything works. I will try some file types you mentioned and see if that works. All files have to be converted by using windows media player for the e250 but it cannot convert the video i am trying to get it to recognize. The files are on the sd card.

With most MP3 players they can double as external USB drives too. So if there is files on the player that are not supported then you will not be able to see the files on the player.

What file format are the files in an what format are you trying to convert the files over too? This will help me see where the issue is. Also note if the files are in a non standard codex this can also cause a problem too. So also let me know where you are getting the files from.

There also may be a firmware issue with your player. Some of the early verisons of the players do not support alot of formats. The link below will show you what is supported.

It sounds like there still may be a formating and/or DRM issue with the file. I would like you to right click and select properties then select the Details tab. This will allow you to see all the info on the file. If you can reply with all the detail info this will help me see where the problem might be.

Hi there,
Have you tried looking at the files on a computer to make sure that they are there?
Or maybe you can also try removing the files from the folder to make sure that the player recognizes them.
If you can try to move the files to a pc then format the SD card and put the files again check if that will work.
Make sure that the music files and the videos are file types that can be recognized by the player usually .mp3 for music and .avi or .flv maybe .mp4 for video files.
Hope this helps!

How do i get muve music to work on a sd card thats not from cricket?

I don't use move music so I just put a new one in. Since my SD card wasn't dead all the time, I was able to copy it off to my computer.

After inserting the new card, formatted it, and all I restored were my pics. That's all I needed.

Two other options you can try:

Pantech deo wont read sd memory card i have music on the card and the sd icon apears at the top of my phone but when i go into my music its not there.....another web sight told me to go to libary update in...

What size is your SD card? I've been reading elsewhere that the Pantech Duo doesn't support anything over 2 gig. Mine is a 4 gig and I am experiencing the same problem. It should have an option to click "storage" but it isn't there. It shows I have an SD installed as well. What you could do is upload what you have on your existing SD card to your computer, buy a 2 gig and transfer it over and see if that fixes the problem. It should.

How can you import pictures in inbox on cell phone to the microchip SD 2gb inserted in phone?

Micro SD cards for cell phones are now costing less and are holding more memory. 4GB SD cards can hold an estimated 1000 songs, over 13,000 images, or 22 hours of video individually. 2GB memory cards hold roughly half those estimates and 8GB SD cards would hold double. So if your cell phonemag-glass_10x10.gif has a SD card slot learn how to utilize this expandable memory option on your device. Follow these steps and you will soon be enjoying your music, pictures, and video on your phone!
  1. Insert your SD memory card adaptor (with micro SD card inserted) into your SD Card drive on your computer. This should open a "Secure Digital Storage Device" or similar window. If not, go to "My Computer" to locate your SD card and open it.
  2. Step 2 To transfer picture files to your SD memory card, open the folder or file that your pictures are stored on. Simply click and drag a file or multiple files and drop them into your SD Card window or folder. You can also copy a picture and then paste it to the SD Card.
  3. Step 3 To transfer music files to your SD memory card, open your "My Music" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the music from (Itunes, Yahoo Music...). Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  4. Step 4 To transfer video files to your SD memory card, open your "My Videos" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the video from. Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  5. Step 5 Take out the SD memory card adaptor from its drive. Remove the Micro SD card (small chip for your phone) and insert it into the SD Card drive on your Blackberry, IPhone, or other compatible cell phone.
  6. Step 6 Go to your media, picture, or music folder in your cell phonesmag-glass_10x10.gif menu. Select which item you are looking for and your files will appear!

I downloaded my music files to the micro sd and went into my music and it had no content exists. music is on the micro sd though can you help me step by step

Access your card from your computer and take note of the files.......your cell phone creates different folders for different menu options.
The folder should be music, but depending on your carrier could be labeled as sounds.....all files should be moved to this specific folder....so 1: access the media card 2: mover the media contents to the appropriate folder 3: your ready to go :)
another option is the copy the entire contents of the card to a folder on your desktop and format the card from the settings menu in your phone..............now you can look through the folders that the device creates to determine the one used for music......

geeeze.....hope i didnt lose you there

It might be a dump question, but what do you have to do to see your micro sd card in the player? When I inserted the micro sd card, the player said "refresh database" but then I could not find the card...

Power up the player and goto settings scroll to info push enter.. This will show you how much info is on the player and the card plus the free space on both....push menu button again and scroll to music or whatever video, voice,,scroll to artist push enter... Look here for your files check where it says Unknown....If you still can't fine your stuff take out the card connect to the computer format the player when finished put the card back in and you will only have that info on the player.....When putting music or any file on the player make sure they are not hidden files......Open explorer goto tools scroll to folder options click on view click do not show hidden files or folders.....If your files are hidden right click on file click property you will see attributes remove all checks click apply....

The data on the SD Memory Card can be broken up into five separate folders (where applicable): * [DCIM]: The images in this folder (e.g. IMGA0001.JPG) are recorded in the JPEG format. * [MISC]: Files in which DPOF Data has been set to the image are in this folder.
