Camera is not operating correctly

When you take a picture it does not show on my lcd screen but when you tune to veiw the picture a blue screen will come up the screen works but i dont know how come the picture doesnot show or even to focuse to take the picture

Why is there just a black screen in eye view?

sir,
can play your cassette? if the picture is clear in play back mode,then there may be problem with the image sensor (CCD) in the camera,open the camera, measure the voltage at the CCD board if the voltage is not correct check the fuses on the mother board.

HELLO! IF YOU MOVE THE LCD SCREEN BACK AND FORTH AND YOU SEE PICTURE FOR A SECOND THEN LCD HINGE MUST BE REPLACED,IF NO PICTURE AT ALL MAYBE PROBLEM ON LCD BOARD.

LCD picture veiw is runny like a runny film

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Lcd black while in picture taking mode

Your ccd appears to be bad. Canon USA will repair this for free. Go here for details. They will send you 2 emails. One with the UPS label and another with info sheets to be sent with the defective camera

LCD Screen does not work properly

Your camera works just like a film camera SLR,. You use the eyepiece to frame and focus your picture. The LCD screen is for reviewing pictures taken or menu operations. You cannot preview a shot on screen before it is taken with the camera.

Black snowy screen appears when camera is turned on.

just send it to a repair centre, they will repair for free. the problem could be the mainboard, and needs to be changed
