first you need to take the grill off the front of the micro there should be two screws on the very top of the unit that allow you to take the grill cover off there also should be two screws in the cabinet above the micro that hold the unit in place some models have a silver hook or latch on the left side that you pull forward to release the unit from the back plate do not pull on this till you have taken out the two set screw on top of the cabinet after doing this the micro should come down

Thanks for responding. It is a EWave KOT-152UW. I think EWave is part of Magic Chef. I think it is the door switch. When I opened the microwave, the circuit breaker tripped. I reset the circuit breaker, and it worked for several days, but the last time, the microwave went dead. The reason I want to use the same bracket is it has through the wall (horizontal) venting to the outside, and I am not keen on trying to cut more holes.

Chances are it's a defective high voltage rectifier diode or magnetron.
There
should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit
behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is
very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.
At
our Web site, we have a video
available showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.
Here are some links you
or someone you know can use for test help, but read their safety
warnings first:

(if it's not shorted or burned, it's
probably okay)

You can find
helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full
model number from the tag on the oven here.
You can
download Frigidaire owner's manuals and installation
instructions can be downloaded through the links here. where you can also locate a nearby authorized servicer if you choose.
The magnetron has a 10-year part warranty, but you would have to pay labor.
If
nothing else, you can save about $75 by taking it to the shop yourself.
Good luck.

Underneath the microwave, on the right & left hand corner sides at the back, there are levers that you pull down & it releases the mounting bracket.
