Updated laptop to windows 7....need updated software for targus acp50

The Targus ACP50US Docking Station does not seem to have an updated driver for Windows 7. You can attempt to install the docking station using the driver found at this link but that may not work as it is only meant to be used for Windows 2000, XP, and Vista. I'm sorry but if that driver does not work, the docking station will not work until there is a new driver for Windows 7.

In order to use the ethernet card on your Docking Station ( or Port Replicator), you must first disable any internal Ethernet cards.

To do this:
  1. Type "Network Connections" in the Start Menu seach box, and press enter.
  2. Right click on your computer's internal ethernet adapter (i.e. "Local Area Connection" & select "Disable"

USB ports do not work with my XP Dell computer

Did you connect the power to the Port Replicator? The USB may be older in the Targus or the XP Dell. (1.1 older, vs 2.0 newer).
