How do i fix a cord not going back in on a craftsman weed eater/blower combo 32cc

The one way clutch could be broken or jammed. Take off the starter for a closer look.

Pull on cord for weed eater y 28 yard machine hard to pull how do i repair it

Hmmmmm. The question is why does it pull hard to begin with? Did the pull cord get wrapped around the pulley in an awkward manner or is the machine seized up? If it's not to difficult, pull the muffler off the machine and look at the piston. If it looks scored (lines up and down the piston through the rings) It's shot and probably not worth fixing. But, If everything looks good, then I'd pull the starter assembly off and see if there's something going on there that's doesn't look right.

My Poulan Pro 150E pull cord will not engage to start the weed eater. The rope comes out adn retracts back with no problem, but there is no pressure on the clutch to cause the motor to start. There is...

Sounds like the starter dogs are broken. They are little plastic teeth that engage to turn the engine when you pull the cord. You'll need to replace the whole starter assembly to fix this.

I have a brand new craftmans gas weedwacker. The line went completely in the head (after about ten minutes of use) and I can't get it out. It is a bump type head. Any ideas???

Hi,

When using the weedeater you cant let the line get too shore otherwise it goes back inside the head, you will now have to pull the bump head apart and reload the snipper cord...

The weedeater string part below the Gaurd fell off I disconected the shaft and put the blower attachment on and it works fine. Is it the string head that's bad or the inside cable orthe coplete...

The part below the guard is designed to come off for cleaning and restringing, as long as you still have all the parts, you just need to put it back together and it will be fine.

I have a WEED Eater Model SST 45. I left the switch on all winter and now it won't start. What is wrong?

If it is a pull start, leaving the switch on did no damage to the weed eater.
