NEED HELP I HAVE MSI K7T266 PRO2 VER:2.0 THE PROBLEM IS THAT I WAS INSTALLING WIN XP SUDDENLY THE POWER IS OFF,AFTER I GOT POWER I WANT TO DO THE SAME AS I DO B4,BUT MY CPU IS NOT SWITCHING ON.PLEASE ADVICE ME.U CAN MAIL ME AT [email protected] WILL WAIT 4 UR REPLY THANKING YOU

use the booklet that came with the MOBO...i used it and it was pretty user friendly...the acronyms on the MOBO will confuse you

When your motherboard/CPU board CMOS battery dry or have charge then you can not run to power *********** board.Or CMOS is disable.Please check

Hav K7T266 Pro2 motherboard, can not get it to go past turning on

Lorna,
to change bus to 133 MHz, you need to unlock the speed by setting a corresponding jumper on the board to assign busspeed by bios. After doing so, you need to clear CMOS and reboot. Next you'll have to set speed and multiplier in bios. Ideally: 900MHz = 100 x 9. Alternatively: 133 x 6.5 If that doesn't help...check if your RAM-modules are any good anymore. When RAM is not functioning, CPU-error code may be presented, since CPU cannot read/write to RAM, therefore not function. Let me know how this turns out.
