I am trying to make a local FAX in Las Vegas, where we do not use area codes, and if it will let me FAX without and area code, I can't figure out how. I have tried editing the area code rule to eliminate the area code, but a pop up tells me i have to have one in and I think it is also dialing a "1" at the beginning (though I'm not sure) but I can't figure that one out at all (don't see anywhere to remove that).

If you are in an office or corporate environment where the phone system is on a PBX you need to dial 9 usually to get outside the office. If you just have the unit setup at home or to an analog phone jack (not going thru a PBX) then just dial 1 + area code + number. If the number is local then don't use a 1, just the phone number and area code.
