Hi ,My mpman model MP-FOL7 is not starting up,I tried resetting, nothing.I also tried to look for firmware to reset also, nothing, any help will be appereicted.. thanks
If you couldn't find the firmware, here's a link - http://www.mpmaneurope.com/download.aspx?file_id=205
If the reset procedure suggested in the manual doesn't work, try taking out the battery for a day or two, that should also reset it.
try switching the battery with another one. If it starts up when you connect it to the power cable then the battery or power supply system is at fault.
If you still have a warranty, use it, if not, think how much a repair is worth for you and consult the shop you bought it with, or a similar shop that sells these products.
Good luck

This player, oddly enough, only works with regular XP/SP1 - probably the only mp3 player in existence that is like that. I think the company's phrasing of the problem is quite humorous:
If you have WindowsXP SP2, we recommend that you go back to Windows XP SP1 before Microsoft solves the problem.
Have you been messing with the actual backlight, or with the backlight settings through the player?
In case you haven't messed it up, you might be able to reset it by resetting the firmware, use this link http://mpmaneurope.net/download.aspx?file_id=163
Good luck ;]
