The watch company claims english background and AVA is promoting it through its collaboration with different airlines.
Hence it comes at a discounted rate. For any further information you can visit your nearest airport and the AVA outlet there. Show them the model and get to know the worth. Hope now you have more visibility.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for the small cost saving in doing it yourself.

It definitely is worth to fix. But I suspect that all you need is just a battery replacement. Don't forget, that before you purchased your watch, it was laying on dealers shelf for no one knows how long. Battery originally is fitted at Tag Heuer's workshop in Switzerland, and nobody was replacing battery when you bought the watch, so, it may have been in the watch for a year or even more before watch was sold to you.
