Your printers should print, if the "wireless" part of your router is working -- printing does not depend on having a WAN connection.

Is the AP connected to the router using a ethernet cable? Are you having similar issues when you connect wirelessly to the wireless router?

SOURCE: Laptop can't find access point!

Some laptops come with a button\switch or use key combination to turn on or off the wireless(to conserve power)! Refer to your user manual for exact instructions! If that didn't solve the situation then it could be your actual wireless card within the laptop is giving trouble! regards, babb

Usually there is a paper clip sized hole in the back of the WAP that you insert a pin or paper clip into for 10 seconds.

Is dlink the name of your network? I think your confusing it with the manufacturer.

Try This:
On the bottom of the router there is a number or ip address it should look something similar to this 192.168.0.1. Now, if you have access to the internet, if not, go use a friend's computer or the library and type that number EXACTLY as it appears in an internet browser (internet explorer, firefox, safari) where you would normally type a web address. You will be prompted with a password, enter the password. Now go through the setup and change the SSID when prompted to. Now enter that SSID which you just made when searching for networks on your wireless device.

This might solve your problem. If you have questions, contact me on my profile. Good luck!

Hi people I have an airlive radio the power and wlan led are working whith the indicator of the wlan blinking but the Lan indicator light is off i have no wired connection to my computer.

The failure lies on the LAN side. You need to check back towards the server, somewhere there is a disconnection.

Does it supply Power Over Ethernet?

The radio only provides access to the server/router over the LAN.

If it cannot log on to the LAN it will not work.

WHAT LIGHTS ON LINKSYS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BLINKING

Note that incoming traffic will cause the WAN (or Internet) light to blink even if it is 'probe' traffic trying to break in to your network. Such traffic is to be expected and is the reason you have firewall functionality in your gateway router.

On the inside, there is a bit of traffic on any LAN when the computers are turned on. Messages generated by the router itself are used to find computers and printers for a lot of different legitimate reasons.

Only power light goes on when I reconnect to electricity. WLAN and LAN lights stay off

It sonds like you are ethernet connected to the Edimax from your home computer. Can you access a wireless connection? If so Try This:
Unplug the ethernet connection between the PC and the router. Exchange the connection (The ethernet connected to the PC place it in the Edimax and Put the connection from the Edimax into the PC) Check to see if you have a connection light on both devices.
Reboot you Edimax and PC. First turn on the PC and let it power up to the desktop. Once the PC is on then power on the Edimax. Now check to see if you have a connection. If these steps don't work I suggest you try replacing the ethernet plug connected between both devices.

Good luck!

I have a level one wap 0004 wireless access point. I also have a panasonic blue ray player that i am trying to connect the adapter too. The blue ray player has an ethernet connection. The 2 are now...

so, depending upon if you are connecting it with a cable or wireless it is a little different. Wireless sometimes has wps button too for a quicker config/connection.

I suggest you Check the manual:

Often you go to the url of the routers IP address but you need to know that and the default username and password for administrator, which BTW you may wish to change so only you know it.

The printer will not turn on.

Solutions

1. Check the power cord or power module connections at both the printer and the power source (power outlet, power strip or surge protector).

2. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord or power module to the printer.

3. Try reconnecting the power cord or power module to the power source or try a different power source.

4. Verify that the printer is connected to a power outlet that works.

5. Make sure there are no additional switches turned off, such as those on a power strip or surge protector.

6. Check the power breaker to make sure the power source is working.

If these solutions did not fix the problem, have the printer serviced. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bud09170&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=59129

Cannot reset or access configuration page.

The PC will detect a closed loop within the Network cable so forget that. Sorry but the router is bad if you cannot access it and the reset button does not help.

No power led, wlan led blinking

well, what you could try is unplugging the power source from the cable modem, and the router. wait about 1 minute. then plug everything back in and wait.

i remember having this problem as well, but i think the problem with me was that my wireless computer was too far away from the wireless router, not saying that your too far or not, but that what i had, so i just pitched the wireless adapter, and created an ethernet connection. just sharing my experience.
