The remote control may only work for the cable box and you may have to manually put the TV on the correct input channel also you might double check that the cable to the TV is hooked to the antenna input. Here is the website for the manual TV if you think it might help.

Hi,If I understood correctly you broke antenna out socket of Cable box..ok no problem, your TV and cable box should have other jacs/socket for this connection as well.. Take the A/V output of your cable box into TV possibly with RCA cables..than you can select the channel thru Cable box on TV ..(AV mode needs to be selected on TV )
**
in order to listen and watch your magnavox
DVD 's "2xRCA audio" and "1x RCA Video" cables "OUT" should go to
Tv or Cable box "IN" connections separately ..("IN" goes to "OUT" of other
..pls remember,Always reverse connected ) (audio will come thru
Receiver and TV.)
Since you successfully connected your Receiver to play video on TV (one way only ) ,here is the second reverse action if you wish to listen or RECORD a program on your TV on magnavox **
you need to connect "Audio Output " as can either be : RCA jacks or
"Optic cable output" or "SCART "connector " of your TV or Cable box .( every TV -cable box has
different type of Audio out jacks ) ** to "iRCA nput or "Optic Cable input" of your magnavox (whichever you want ,based on the necessary cables on your hand ) There you go..Tv/Cable box video and sound are both on the magnavox for recording..
Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know. Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up for me to continue for Helping out the Community :)
I am glad to assist you fully. I need the complete model of the TV and i will be able to tell you exactly how to hook it up. What connection/cable are you using from the cable box? Thanks, Lee
Tries tv and cable box unplug, replug it back like about an hour. For the tv resetting itself and the cable box to upgraded it softwares.Go into the tv menu go to Audio SETUP.Go down to audio ressetting, these steps should solved ur problems, but not call ur cable companny replaced the reciever box,it have problems.
Basically, you cannot use the coax connections for both the VCR and the RCA converter box. I would hook up the phono/cinch connectors from the VCR to the TV if you can (these are also called RCA connectors, but I'm avoiding using that name so we dont confuse the digital receiver with a cable/connector name that is the same here). There should be a yellow one for video and red/white ones for left and right stereo. I believe the RCA converter comes with a three headed cable that can do this for you. With this configuration, you can set the TV to input on these connectors and the VCR should always output there. Once that is set, you can still use the converter box to receive the signal from your antenna, then run the coax to the VCR. Now, the VCR will always have to be set on channel 4 in your setup and you will need to manually change channels on the converter box for it to record a show. Does this make sense so far?
if your tuner is already dead replace it.because the original tuner of your TV is very expensive. the solution of your TV is converting tuner, you buy a kit name AUDIO TV CONVERTER . simply conection and and not very expensive. just plug the unit to ac line and connect the cable line to rf of your Television and its OK. im just trying to suggest my solution to you JRANDY phillipines tech
there a a bunch of different ways. 1) if you don't have a cable box hooked up to this tv,plug the main cable wire into the vcr input then the vcr outout to the tv.2) if you do have a cable box, plug the main cable into the cable box input, then the output to the vcr input, then the vcr output to the tv. put both the tv & vcr on channel 3 for this connection. [ you must have the vcr on channel 3 to record from the cable box!] 3) if you have aux line/video or source inputs on the back of your tv,you can hook up rca cables [ red, white,& yellow ] from the rca outputs on the vcr to the tv inputs.
hope this helps

give 1/2 to cable box and 1/2 to Antenna A input on TV then hook RF out to tv to Antenna B................Let me know...T.
