Sounds like your set has a bad eprom. This is the brain that stores all the settings and sends information to the microprocessor to make things happen. If you do not know how to replace it you should take it to a qualified tech to repair it.

Wickes 7 day digital timer. I can set the time and date, but how do I set the timer?

1) Copy following link to identify timer and download manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-consumer-timers-and-manuals.html#451

2) Don't forget to press reset button before starting to clear memory traces.
Each program must have ON and OFF time.
After setting current time, and pressing SET button, it appears you press the A+ button until 1 and ON show on display ... this is program1 ON.
Then it appears you press SET button and days of week will flash for Program1 ON. Cycle through choice of day(s) you want for program1 ON.

3) Add comment and say what you find, for further interactive help Jan 2013

Tork digital timers and manuals appears on following link
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-Digital-timers-and-manuals.html#DGM

DGM100 programming manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/TORK.DGM100.INSTALL&OP.pdf

DGM100 is single channel timer, so timer operates all Loads at same time.
In other words, if you have 2 different contactors, the timer cannot set different schedules for each.

On timer light is flashing.and tv shuts off in about 5 seconds after turnig it on.

Hello
Timer function is in ON position and have been set to the least time I thinks. You just go to the menu and put the timer fuction of OFF.

The On/Off timer lets you program your television to turn itself on or off. You can use it as an alarm

to wake up, to help you remember important programs, or as a decoy when you're not home.

Press the MENU button

Press UP or DOWN button on the remote control hanset to ON/OFF TIMER

Make it OFF.

Switch off the TV by its front panel power button, and switch it ON again after 10 seconds.

OK.

I have a utilitech 0192773 self adjusting timer that will not program. Only works with manual on / off switch. How do you adjust to dusk to dawn

Do not go to Utilitech.com; it's a different company. It's actually at place called TheNCC and is in tiny, tiny print at the bottom of the instructions.

Instead, go to:
http://thencc.com/ncc/support_results.asp?criteria=192773&Submit=Go&SearchRun=RunGo

You should find a PDF for the product and then zoom in to be able to read the instructions. I was not able to read instructions that came in packaging.

TV turns off and the standing timer light blinks.

There is a timer option programmed into your set. Check the timer setting in menu, under advanced settings
