Frigidaire stove is about 12 yrs. old. My oven will not heat past 250 degrees and it takes along time to reach that temp. The stove never indicates that the preheat temp. is reached. This just started last nite. Thanks Roxane

that would be normal. if it didnt shut off, it would go above the set temperature. the heat is either off or on. it cant me in the middle. it turns 'off' so that the temperature doesnt go too far above 250. when it senses the temperature falling too low below 250, it heats it up again.

check the oven temp sensor located in the oven cavity in the upper left corner,at room temperature it should read 1100 ohms

either its the oven sensor rod located at the top of the ovens cavity,or your bake element could be getting a hot spot which is when it gets a discolored spot in the element and can no longer pass sufficient current to heat the oven past 250 degrees

Hi.... sounds like you have a bad oven temp sensor...

try turning your breaker off for 20 minutes, then try it again,, if this does not help it could have burnt out a element or the main board has went out,,, also make for sere you are getting the full 220 volts to the unit,, this will involve taking the unit out

It is adjustable. Pull off the temperature knob behind it you will find the adjustment to raise or lower the temp. You will need an oven thermometer to test after you adjust.

I have a Frigidaire electric oven model # PLES389ECE. It is two years old. It has maybe 50hrs of use. I had the oven blower motor go out. Then I had a circuit board malfunction.  The repairman discovered that one of the main terminal connections was loose and caused the terminal block to short. Could this have been the problem all along? Also, we are having a problem with the oven coming up to temp. According to the operating manual, set oven temp. lets say for example  350 degrees. Once the oven is preheated to 350 a beep sounds. With my oven the oven is about 60 degrees to low. You have to wait about 10 more minutes. Is this normal with this model? Has anyone else had problems with this model? I also heard that Frigidaire made a bad batch of ranges. Could this be one of them?
