I have an RCA scenium tv 52" hd tv. what are costs to fix convergence?

This is a 52" RCA DLP projection tv correct?Yes,than a problems,u have is known as a convergence problems,it dead.The colors lines R,G,B mis alignment,have colors shadow pictures or 3D pictures.The tv convergence board,the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved convergence problems.The shop,will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

This tv have 2 problems than,the tv projection lamp life is over,that why the picture is dim,must be to replaced with a new picture lamp.The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all the resistors are dead.Replaced all these parts to solved the convergence problems.

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems that you have to replace the convergence IC and also check the power resistor, if values are not exact you have to replace them. These ICs are located behind the black heat sink; you can see once you open the back off the TV. Also, the convergence board should be checked for cracked solder joints and please make sure to check the resistors as if they are shot the ICs might blow again. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components, if not then you should get this done by a professional. The typical cost to get this fixed by a pro is around $250-$300. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

NO!!!!!!! You are HD Ready if your TV is HD if not then you will need converter box to recieve channels from a antenna,.

It is possible, if you do not have experience in fixing tvs is better replaceing the whole convergence board.

You should be able to find parts here.

if you have some thin lines on the top of the picture probably you have a problem on the power supply for the convergence

I had the problem myself with my Scenium, the TV has a prblom with the circuitry and only fix is through an authorized RCA repare facility. Hope its fixed for you soon, awesome tv.

oki this is an itc 222 or rca hd 52.... if your convergence option is not availvble in your menu and you have a bowed multicolored 3 d ish picture then this points to a special fuse fl231 if you can get this fuse and can solder then it should cost you about 5 bucks and 30 minutes to fix...ill give you more intstruction on how to do this repair. whats your model of your tv]
