I can't get my computer to reboot i got a blue screen and everytime i try to reboot it gets to about 10% and then the blue screen pops up. how do i resolve this problem?

  • Anonymous Aug 14, 2011

first of all, what is the stop error code on the blue screen? (it will look like STOP_ERROR 0xC0000034 for example). Is it the same error code every time or different ones?

You are having what is called a BSOD(Blue Screen Of Death). Usually it is software related but in your case if it's not booting up then you have a hardware malfunction. Check your motherboard for any missing cables. Chances are you will have to get a replacement for your motherboard.
Have fun :)

I think my dell inspirion is crashed , everytime i turn it on it says start window's normally , and then i click on it a blue screen pops up

Maybe some good news for you: I don't think it is for ever gone.

Try the following:

Don't choose start windows normally. Instead choose safe mode with command prompt.

If it starts now, you will get a dos screen where you can type the chkdsk command and press enter. Try after the check disk is finished to boot normally, it could work.

Good luck!

When i try to reboot my dell inspiron 1501 to factory settings after i press F8 and click "repair computer" it just starts normally and goes to my desktop.

Hi,

To restore your Dell computer to it's original factory settings, here's how:

To use PC Restore:
  1. Turn on the computer.

During the boot process, a blue bar with www.dell.com appears at the top of the screen.

  1. Immediately upon seeing the blue bar, press .

If you do not press in time, let the computer finish starting, and then restart the computer again.
notice.gif NOTICE: If you do not want to proceed with PC Restore, click Reboot in the following step.

  1. On the next screen that appears, click Restore.

  2. On the next screen, click Confirm.

The restore process takes approximately 6-10 minutes to complete.

  1. When prompted, click Finish to reboot the computer.

note.gif NOTE: Do not manually shut down the computer. Click Finish and let the computer completely reboot.
  1. When prompted, click Yes.

The computer restarts. Because the computer is restored to its original operating state, the screens that appear, such as the End User License Agreement, are the same ones that appeared the first time the computer was turned on.

  1. Click Next.

The System Restore screen appears and the computer restarts.
After the computer restarts, click OK.

Thanks and have a good one.

When I play some games on my syncmaster 215tw, the screen goes black after 5 minutes. I have to reboot everytime to get the screen back on. The blue light flashes but i cant do nothing until i reboot....

that means your VGA is not big enough to run the game. This problem is not from the monitor but your system.I suggest an upgrade in your system to enhance better performance.

Computer comes on, shows a blue screen, and restarts on it's own.

Try to boot into Safe Mode.

If you're able to, let me know and we'll go from there.
