Hi Edmo117
I have tom tom one v2,suffered from the powering up/charge issue.
So I bought new mains/car charger & internal battery(covering all angles), it still only powers up briefly then turns itself off when still plugged in.
Can't turn it back on ?? For a long while ,process keeps repeating itself ??
Green light shows whenever plugged into power source, tried all the resets available,
It Seems as though something is stopping it from charging up :((
Formatted & reloaded basic tom tom one progs onto SD card.
Phoned Tom Tom - Not interested !!
Would be grateful if you could send me the pics you took, when fixing yours.
Much appreciated

I too dropped my tom tom go 300. It appears the battery was disloged as it will only work if attached to another power source; AC Adapter or cigarette plug. Does anyone know how to open the case to check on the battery?

I have the same tomtom and it has the same problem. Sorry to say it is the battery. You cant change it it has to go to Tom Tom. I just bought a new one. Hope this helps.

Hello, I have the same problem, with the component D5 on lower left side of the board appearing fried. Any luck in the fix?
Mike
HI
If your TomTom powres up - even breifly - then it does not sound like the same problem I had when it would not power up at all.
However, if you would like the photo's I can send them no problem but I need your e-mail address to send them to. This web site does not allow large attachments.
Good luck
