I have a similar problem. The internal screen working fine, but the external does not show anything at all. The "faded greyish" screen as described above. The touch keys work fine, but you can't see anything. Any reason for this ?

These are smart batteries. They have a circuit board that communicates with the phone. If the same battery worked fine before, then the circuit board in the battery is probably faulty. The battery should charge the same, but it may not report all the information back to the phone that it needs. If it becomes a problem with the battery then you should consider replacing it.
this is two different problems you are having . fuzzy screens is one . dying battery is another. need to get both fix .manufacturing warranty i think is two year hurry.
I had this problem when i first got my razr. Sometimes it works, you just need to hold down the power button again, and wait a while. It took me two or three tries to get it.
i forgot the name of what its called but its an antenna signal booster sticker that goes in under the battery have you tried this yet
some phones are picky about there signals i dont know why
and is your phone refurbished or brand new
COULD BE THE PHONE BUT MOST LIKELY ITS THE CHARGER, IF ITS AFTERMARKET GET RID OF IT AND BUY OEM, TRY AND TEST IT OUT WOULD A FREINDS MOTOROLA CHARGER SINCE THEY'RE MOSTLY THE SAME CHARGERS AND SEE IF YOU STILL GET THE MESSAGE.
