Hi there, I am trying to find the specifications for a Husquvarna 254 xp. Not easy as they are no longer in production. (The reason is, I did my chain saw course using one, and know that I can at least handle that weight and power, and would be useful to be able to compare the specs with the ones I am looking at to buy) Cheers

The normal reason for a saw to cut to the left, or right is because the cutters have been sharpened more on side than the other, they are now longer on one side, this then sends the cut off to that side. Measure the cutter lenghts, take the correct file and shorten the longer cutters

There are no more drivers available for this unit under Windows 7
Here are two work arounds :
If you have the W XP install disc , you can install a virtual version of W XP on your machine from http://www.vmware.com/products/player/
If you still have the install disc , you can also partition your primary and install W XP on the new partition from http://download.cnet.com/Partition-Wizard-Home-Edition/3000-2094_4-10962200.html. Easy and safe , no specific knowledge required .

Anyways, USB 2.0 has been out for many years, is a standard on all computers, and is 400x faster than USB 1.0.

Either way, I recommend you goto www.newegg.com, as all of their products, including their PCI USB expansion cards, have honest reviews from users that purchased them. I always read the reviews there before purchasing. And I would think 80% of the reviewers there even, have WinXP Pro SP2, however they will even state it alot of times, in addition to the Specifications page listing it.

I just recently had this problem for the second time, first time I had the unit replaced. This latest time I perfromed the firware upgrade and the issue was resolved. Follow this link http://www.harmankardon.com/EN-US/Products/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?PID=AVR%20254
then select "Product Updates" you can download the firmware from there. Be sure to read the PDF and follow the on screen instructions exactly. This process will erase all your stting so you'll have to reconfigure all your sources and settings upon completion. Good Luck.

you do not need to switch the rim sprocket,.325 will be the same with .050 or .058.all you have to change is the bar to the .058..the .050 chain will no longer if the saw so you will have to replace it also.
